His Highness Dato' Klana Petra Dato' Haji Mubarak bin Dohak (born 11 November 1961 at Pantai, Seremban), is the 16th and current Dato' Klana Petra (or Undang ) of Sungai Ujong, one of the traditional domains (luak) of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. He was installed on 29 December 1993. [1] He is the head of the Waris Hulu lineage; the other noble lineage of Sungai Ujong is Waris Hilir.

Early life

Mubarak Dohak was born on 11 November 1961 in Kampung Telaga Undang, nearby Pantai. He is the only child of the late Dohak bin Dato' Sutan Nara Haji Abu Samah and Puan Lawiyah binti Dato' Amar Setia Alwi. His father died when he was at the age of three years old.

He received his early education at King George V Primary School from 1968 to 1973, and then continued his studies at King George V Secondary School from 1974 to 1978, and successfully obtained an MCE.

Personal life

Mubarak Dohak married YAM Tok Puan Noor Hashimah binti Abu Bakar on 31 March 1984. From their marriage, they were both blessed with five children, namely three daughters and two sons.

Sportsmanship

Mubarak Dohak has an innate talent in sports. It became more evident when he successfully represented his school in the rugby team. The King George V Secondary School rugby team emerged as champions among Negri schools under the categories of under 15 and under 20.

Besides rugby, Mubarak Dohak is also keen towards badminton and volleyball. He is also a member of the UMNO Youth Football Team.
