Location and geography

Mubuku Central Forest Reserve is situated in the Rwenzori Mountains, spanning parts of Kasese and Bundibugyo districts in Western Uganda. Conservation efforts and restoration

Mubuku Central Forest Reserve has been subject to various conservation efforts aimed at preserving its ecological value. In recent years, the National Forest Authority (NFA) and other organizations have taken significant steps to restore and protect the forest reserve. [2]

In collaboration with Uganda Baati, the NFA has initiated a project to restore Mubuku Central Forest Reserve. As part of this initiative, 10 hectares of trees have been replanted in the forest reserve.
