Muhammad Younis Butt is a Pakistani screenwriter and humorist notable for his shows. [3]

He is also a column writer and executive producer. His most popular show is Hum Sab Umeed Sai Hain . Most of his TV shows were derived from his writings. His current show is Hum Sab Ajeeb Se Hain which is being broadcast on Aaj Entertainment. [2] [4]

Early life

Muhammad Younis Butt was born on 4 January 1962 in Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan. After finishing his basic education, he received his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from King Edward Medical College, Lahore. During his student life, he was involved in many dramatic/theater-based activities and even started working on his comedy books while he was a college student.

Professional career

His first most popular drama, as a writer, was Family Front . [1] This play won the Nigar Award in 2000. It was one of the few humor shows of the time when there was only PTV available in Pakistan. His later work Hum Sab Umeed Sai Hain is one of the most popular shows in Pakistan. In March 2012, Younis Butt left Geo News [5] and joined Dunya TV. It has its own Bas Kar Awards. Ladies Park a comedy show of Geo TV was written by him. Nowadays, His current sitcom show Hum Sab Ajeeb Se Hain is running successfully on Aaj Entertainment. [4]

While Mai Hoon Shahid Afridi was an average success, Jawani phir Nahe ani went on to become the highest grossing film of Pakistan cinema and broke all the previous Box office records while earning more than 490 million at the box office. He also wrote Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, which was released on 2018 Eid al-Adha and broke the all time biggest box office grosses record.It also went on to become the First Pakistani film to make 700 Million rupees worldwide. Chaudhry is also known for hosting the comedy show, Mazaaq Raat, on Dunya News since 2015.

Uroosa Siddiqui is a Pakistani television actress and comedian. She is best known for her role as Sukhi in Baraat series and got her first leading role in 3rd season of Baraat series Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat. Her Other notable works include Shagufta Jahan in Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah, Sana in Dramay Baziyan, and Zohra Jabeen in Hum Sab Ajeeb Se Hain and Warda Ahmed in Fun Khana for which she won Hum Award for Best Actor in Comic Role. Currently, she is playing a role of Bemisaal in Dolly Darling airing on Geo Entertainment.

Feroze Khan is a Pakistani actor and video jockey who primarily works in Urdu television. One of Pakistan's highest-paid actors, he is the recipient of several accolades, including three Lux Style Awards.

The show is an official adaption of another popular Pakistani sitcom Family Front, which was telecast in the 1990s. The second season of the series premiered in mid 2022.

<i>Romeo Weds Heer</i> Pakistani tv series

Romeo Weds Heer is a 2018 Pakistani drama serial, directed by Anjum Shahzad, written by Muhammad Younis Butt and produced by 7th Sky Productions. It stars Feroze Khan and Sana Javed in lead roles. The show was originally aired in single episodes on Sunday evenings, but towards the end of its run, it began to run episodes in a mega-episode format on Sunday evenings. It premiered on 21 October 2018 on Geo Entertainment. The series ended on 26 May 2019.

Dino Ki Dulhaniya is a 2018 Pakistani tele-film directed by Mehreen Jabbar, written by Muhammad Younis Butt and produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under the 7th Sky Entertainment banner. The tele-film stars Feroze Khan and Sana Javed in the lead roles. The film was released in June 2018 as part of Geo Entertainment's Eid programming.
