The Back Room is the debut studio album of British rock band Editors; it was released on 25 July 2005 through Kitchenware Records. The Editors formed while attending university and later moved to Birmingham, where they played club shows and made demos. After signing to Kitchenware in late 2004, the band recorded their debut album at studios in Lincolnshire, London and Wolverhampton. Jim Abbiss produced all but one of the tracks; the exception was produced by Gavin Monaghan. The Back Room is a post-punk revival, gothic rock and indie pop album that has been compared to the works of Echo & the Bunnymen, Elbow and Interpol.

Before Smith had completed the lyrics, an instrumental version of the song was used as the theme for the French television show Les Enfants du Rock.

Having received no response for a year, he despairs, believing that he is destined to be alone. In This Light and on This Evening is the third studio album by English rock band Editors. It was released on 12 October 2009 by Kitchenware Records. The band had said the material would have a more raw and anthemic sound compared to their previous work. The first single from the album was "Papillon". The second single was "You Don't Know Love", released on 25 January of the following year. The third single, "Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool", was released on 24 May. The album also features a bonus extended play of five songs, called Cuttings II. With lead guitarist Chris Urbanowicz's departure from Editors on 16 April 2012, this was the band's last album to feature Urbanowicz.

The Weight of Your Love is the fourth studio album from the British band Editors. It was released on 28 June 2013 by PIAS Recordings. The first single "A Ton of Love" first aired on 6 May 2013 on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show, with the music video being released on the same day.

"R.E.M" is a song by American singer Ariana Grande from her fourth studio album Sweetener, released in 2018. It was written by Grande and Pharrell Williams, production being handled by the latter. The song title inspired the name for Grande's makeup brand, R.E.M. Beauty.

R.E.M. at the BBC is a 2018 live album box set by American alternative rock band R.E.M. released on October 19, 2018. The eight-disc compilation features sessions recorded between 1984 and 2008, including a bonus DVD of videos. Additionally, a two-disc best-of collection was released on the same day.
