The Official Charts Company is a British inter-professional organisation that compiles various official record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France.
Hit Music was a weekly British chart newsletter; sister publication to Music Week. Hit Music existed for almost nine years, supplying the official UK music charts. The founding editors were Graham Walker and Tony Brown. The first issue was published September 5, 1992, the last issue was May 5, 2001.
The UK singles chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC), on behalf of the British record industry, listing the top-selling singles in the United Kingdom, based upon physical sales, paid-for downloads and streaming. The Official Chart, broadcast on BBC Radio 1 and formerly MTV, is the UK music industry's recognised official measure of singles and albums popularity because it is the most comprehensive research panel of its kind, today surveying over 15,000 retailers and digital services daily, capturing 99.9% of all singles consumed in Britain across the week, and over 98% of albums. To be eligible for the chart, a single is currently defined by the OCC as either a "single bundle" having no more than four tracks and not lasting longer than 25 minutes or one digital audio track not longer than 15 minutes with a minimum sale price of 40 pence. The rules have changed many times as technology has developed, with digital downloads being incorporated in 2005 and streaming in July 2014.

"Rise & Fall" is a song by British singer Craig David. It was written for his second studio album, Slicker Than Your Average (2002), while production was helmed by duo Soulshock and Karlin. The song, a collaboration with fellow British musician Sting, is based on a sample of the song "Shape of My Heart" from Sting's 1993 album Ten Summoner's Tales. "Rise & Fall" served as the album's the third single and returned David to the UK top five, peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart. It also returned David to the top ten on the Australian Singles Chart. In Hungary, Poland, and Romania, "Rise & Fall" topped the singles charts. The song was also included in Sting's Duets (2021) compilation album.
"Wherever You Will Go" is the debut single of American band the Calling. The song was released on May 22, 2001, as the first single from their debut studio album, Camino Palmero (2001). It remains their most successful hit, peaking at number five on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Adult Top 40 for 23 weeks, the second-longest-running number one in the chart's history. Outside the United States, the song topped the music charts of Italy, New Zealand, and Poland, reached number three in the United Kingdom, peaked at number five in Australia, and became a top-10 hit in several European countries.
"Rendezvous" is a song by British singer Craig David. It was released in 19 March 2001 as the fourth and final single from his debut studio album, Born to Do It, and became his fifth top ten hit from the album, following "Rewind", "Fill Me In", "7 Days" and "Walking Away".
"Hidden Agenda" is a song by English singer Craig David. It was written by David and producer Mark Hill for his second studio album, Slicker Than Your Average (2002). The song was released on 6 January 2003 as the album's second single and became his eighth top-10 hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at number 10 and spending six weeks inside the UK top 75. After the change in sound between his debut album, Born to Do It, and "What's Your Flava?", the lead single from Slicker Than Your Average, "Hidden Agenda" returned David to the sound for which he was known for in his worldwide hits such as "7 Days" and "Walking Away" and re-united him with Artful Dodger record producer Mark Hill.
"All the Way" is a song recorded by the British singer Craig David. It was written by David and Mark Hill his third studio album, The Story Goes... (2005), while production was helmed by Hill. It was released on 8 August 2005 as the album's lead single, his first single he released with new label Warner Bros. Records after Wildstar Records went bankrupt. After missing the top ten with previous singles "World Filled with Love" and "You Don't Miss Your Water ", "All the Way" returned David to the top three. It was the highest-charting single from The Story Goes... but not the biggest-selling as "Don't Love You No More " spent over double the number of weeks inside the UK top 75.
"Use Somebody" is a song recorded by the American rock group Kings of Leon. It was the second single from the band's fourth studio album Only by the Night, and it entered American and British charts in December 8, 2008, three weeks after the album release. The single was augmented with a music video released a month later.

"Beneath Your Beautiful" is a song by British musicians Labrinth and Emeli Sandé. Written by Labrinth, Mike Posner and Sandé, it was promoted as the sixth single from Labrinth's debut album, Electronic Earth (2012), and is included as a bonus track on the US Deluxe Edition of Sandé's debut studio album Our Version of Events. Impacting from 18 October 2012, and following a well-received performance on the ninth series of The X Factor, the single would go on to sell 108,000 copies in the UK during its first week and top the UK Singles Chart. It became Labrinth's first number one single as a lead artist and additionally became his first top 40 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number 34. The song was nominated for 'Best British Single' at the 2013 Brit Awards and was ranked the twelfth best-selling single of 2012 in the UK. The song title is known for being grammatically incorrect. It’s Beneath You’re Beautiful.
Nothing but Thieves are an English rock band, formed in 2012 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Conor Mason, guitarist Joe Langridge-Brown, guitarist and keyboardist Dominic Craik, bassist Philip Blake, and drummer James Price. In 2014, they signed to RCA Records and a year later in October 2015, they released their self-titled debut album. Their second album, Broken Machine was released in September 2017, receiving wide acclaim in addition to peaking at No. 2 in the UK Album Charts. They released an EP titled What Did You Think When You Made Me This Way? in October 2018, followed by their third studio album, Moral Panic, in October 2020. This was followed in July 2021 by the album's "second part" with the EP entitled Moral Panic II. In June 2023, they released their fourth studio album, Dead Club City, which became their first UK No. 1 album.
The UK Album Downloads Chart is compiled by the Official Charts on behalf of the British music industry. Since July 2015, the chart week runs from Friday to Thursday, with the chart date given as the following Thursday. The chart was introduced in April 2006 to coincide with the OCC's decision to include sales of album downloads in the UK Albums Chart. The first album to top the download chart was This New Day by Embrace.
"Kathleen" is the third single by Welsh indie rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen. The song was included in their EP, Kathleen and the Other Three, and their debut studio album, The Balcony. The single was digitally released on 18 March 2014 as a music video, and on 7 April 2014, the 7-inch version of the single was released. The single did not contain a B-side.

It was a sister publication to the British music magazine Music Week which itself only published the Top 75 UK singles and albums charts. Charts Plus was published from 1991 to 1994.
