Hamis Mwinjuma,also known as (MwanaFA) is a [[Tanzanian] politician and a former musician. Currently serving as Deputy Minister of Arts,Culture &Sports,since his appointment by President Samia Suluhu Hassan on 26 February,2023. A Bongofleva legend and an award winning rapper prior to turning into politics;Mwana Fa made his music debut in 2002,with his smash hit single “Ingekua vipi”featuring Jay moe,followed up with other hit songs like “mabinti”“showtime”which featured in MwanaFA’s first debut album “Mwanafalsafani”. MwanaFa,short of Mwanafalsafa his original stage name,which means “Philosopher”,a name given by his first producer,Boniluv,reflected his eloquence and thoughtful lyrics. His music career saw him becoming a mega superstar in East Africa,winning 8 Kilimanjaro Awards and having more than 20 number one songs,releasing 4 albums in a career spanning 18 years.
EARLY LIFE
Hamis Mwinjuma was born on 13 March,1979 in Dodoma,Tanzania. His parents,Mohamed Mwinjuma(father) and Halima Heri(mother). He grew up in Muheza,Tanga where he attended Mdote Primary School,and later on Tanga Technical School for High school. During his time at Tanga school,he devoloped interest in writing poems and hip hop music. Later on he became more active in rapping and formed a rap group with two friends,Adam Gezzana(Gezzartks) and Robert Ras. Together they formed a group named Black skin. The group didn’t have much success. After Hamis finished High school,he moved to Dar es Salaam,a commercial city to pursue music full time. There he met Boniluv,a well known DJ who was also a producer. The two started working together and later on,Boniluv went to study sound engineering in UK for one year,and shortly after his return to Tanzania,he signed Hamis to his record label and the two started recording songs.
MUSIC CAREER
After recording several songs under the new label. Hamis released his first song under his stage name Mwanafalsafa,titled “Ingekua vipi”
Mwinjuma is a politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament representing Muheza constituency since November 2020. He was born in Muheza,Tanga Region. [1] [2]

Following the death of former president John Magufuli,Samia Suluhu Hassan the Vice President in the previous cabinet was sworn in as the new president. Within two weeks of her assignment,she appointed a new vice president and reshuffled the previous cabinet.
