Mussa Azzan Zungu (born 25 May 1952) is a Tanzanian CCM politician and Deputy Speaker of Tanzania National Assembly. He's also current Member of Parliament for Ilala constituency since 2005. [1]
He has continued to retain the parliamentary seat in 2010 &2015. [2] He was appointed as the Minister of State in the Vice President's office on January 24,2020 and server for 6 months before the parliament was dissolved on June 16,2020. [3] He is now the Deputy Speaker following the resignation of the former Speaker Job Ndugai,and the,by then,Deputy Speaker Dr. Tulia Ackson elected to become current Speaker of the Parliament.

According to the 2022 census,the region has a total population of 5,383,728 and national census of 2012 had 4,364,541. The region has the highest population in Tanzania followed by Mwanza Region.
Ilala District is one of five districts of the Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania. The district is bordered to the north by Kinondoni District,to the east by the Zanzibar Channel,the west by Pwani Region,and to the south by the Temeke District. It covers an area of 365 km2 (141 sq mi). The district is comparable in size to the land area of U.S Virgin Islands. The administrative seat is Ilala Ward. The 2012 National Tanzania Census states the population for Ilala as 1,220,611.
