This train will be operated by Indian Railways, connecting Mysuru Jn, Mandya, KSR Bengaluru City Jn, Krishnarajapuram, Katpadi Jn and MGR Chennai Ctrl. It is currently operated with train numbers 20663/20664 on 6 days a week basis. [6] [7] [8] This train would later be extended to Mysuru Jn until the maintenance facility would be ready for Vande Bharat. [9] [10] [11] [12]
As per latest updates from South Western Railways, this express train W.E.F. 30/07/2024 will operate on Wednesdays instead of Thursdays due to the maintenance schedule changes. [13] [14]
It is the forty-fourth 2nd Generation and twenty-ninth Mini Vande Bharat 2.0 Express train [ broken anchor ] which was designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory at Perambur, Chennai under the Make in India Initiative. [15]
