Kyungpook National University is a national university representing Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongbuk Province in South Korea. It is located in the Daegu Metropolitan City, which is the capital city of the Gyeongbuk Province, South Korea.
Cheongdo County (Cheongdo-gun) is a county in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It is connected to the national transportation grid by the Gyeongbu Line railroad and the Daegu-Busan Expressway. The seat of government is located in the center of the county, in Hwayang-eup.

It has a population of about 610,000, and an area of 62.27 square kilometers. The population rose dramatically in the 1990s, and has been approximately level since 2000.
Dong District is a gu (district) in northeastern part of Daegu metropolitan city of South Korea. Daegu city itself lies in the southwestern part of Korean Peninsula. It has a population of 343,678. The district covers 182.35 km², for about 20% of Daegu's total area.
Nam District is a gu, or district, in south central Busan, South Korea. Much of Nam-gu sticks out into the Sea of Japan, forming a peninsula which separates Suyeong Bay from Busan Harbor. It has an area of 25.91 km². Nam-gu officially became a gu of Busan in 1975. In 1995 part of Nam-gu was divided to form Suyeong-gu.
Jagalmadang is a red-light district located in Daegu, South Korea. Situated in the Dalseong-dong area of Daegu's Jung-gu district, it first emerged in the 1910s in the early period of Japanese rule. In the early 2000s, approximately fifty brothels were operating in Jagalmadang, employing some 270 prostitutes. However, following the passage of a special law against prostitution in 2004, many of these were forced to close.
Dalseong County (Dalseong-gun) is a gun occupying much of south and western Daegu, South Korea. A largely rural district lying along the Nakdong River, it makes up nearly half of Daegu's total area. It is divided in half by a narrow piece of Dalseo-gu that reaches west to the river.

It is one of the most prosperous and high-density areas of Daegu, and is the site of the city's most extensive hagwon district. The population of this district consists of those who have careers such as doctors, professors, judges and other high valued careers in Korea. Because of this, it is known for expensive housing and schools compared to other districts in Daegu.
Jung District (Jung-gu) is a gu, or district, covering the downtown area of Daegu, South Korea. It borders most of the other districts of Daegu, including Nam-gu to the south, Seo-gu to the west, Buk-gu to the north, and Dong-gu and Suseong-gu to the east. The northern border is formed by the Gyeongbu Line railroad, and the eastern border by the Sincheon stream.
Seo District is a gu, or district, in western Daegu, South Korea. A major transportation nexus, it is transected by the Gyeongbu, Guma, and Jungang Expressways. It is also connected to the downtown region and to Dalseong County by Daegu Subway Line 2. The Gyeongbu Line railroad also passes through Seo-gu, but no major stations are located there.
Daegu National Museum is a national museum located in Hwanggeum-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, South Korea. It opened on December 7, 1994 and holds approximately 30,000 artifacts. Its main collection consists of archaeological objects from Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do region.

Gamsammot Park is a park that is located in Daegu Seo-gu, South Korea. There was Gamsam-mot (Lake). The name is changed from Gamsam Park to Gamsammot Park in November 2010. The area is comparatively small to 16,332 m². There are Dalseong High School, Gyungun Middle School, Duryu Park etc. near the Gamsam park. It is close to the Duryu Station of Daegu Subway Line 2.
The Dongseongno Festival is a festival held in Daegu Jung-gu, South Korea. The festival is held every May and includes a song festival, a fashion show, and concerts.
United States Army Garrison Daegu, also known as USAG Daegu is a medium-sized United States Army Garrison headquartered in the Nam District, Daegu in South Korea. USAG Daegu provides base operations and support for Camps Henry, Walker and George in Daegu, Camp Carroll in Waegwan, Chilgok County, the Busan Storage facility and Pier 8 in Busan Metropolitan City, the DLA Disposition Services in Apo-eup Gimcheon and various other remote mountaintop sites. USAG Daegu also provides support to the United States Navy at Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae in Jinhae-gu, to the United States Marine Corps at Camp Mujuk in Pohang, and the United States Air Force at K-2 Airfield colocated at the Daegu International Airport. Nearly 10,000 Soldiers, Family members, Civilian employees, KATUSA Soldiers and Korean employees live and work on USAG Daegu installations.
