Nannophya paulsoni is a species of dragonfly of the family Libellulidae, ^{[3] [4]} commonly known as the scarlet pygmyfly. ^[5] It is a small dragonfly with red markings ^[5] found in northern Australia. ^[6]

Historically, Nannophya paulsoni had been recorded as Nannophya pygmaea in Australia. ^[5]
