Narsaq Municipality was a municipality in south Greenland until 31 December 2008. The municipality consisted of Narsaq, and the settlements Qassiarsuk, Igaliku, and Narsarsuaq. [1] Its administrative center was the town of Narsaq. It was incorporated into the new Kujalleq municipality on 1 January 2009, when the municipalities of Narsaq, Nanortalik, and Qaqortoq ceased to exist as administrative entities.

The municipality had a population of approximately 2150 people. [2] The size of the municipality was some 8500 km2 of which less than half, or 3000 km2, was open land.

Narsaq Kujalleq Heliport or Narsarmijit Heliport is a heliport in Narsaq Kujalleq, a village in the Kujalleq municipality in southern Greenland. The heliport is considered a helistop, and is served by Air Greenland as part of a government contract.

KANUKOKA

KANUKOKA is the national association of Greenland's municipalities, led by Palle Jeremiassen. The name is an acronym formed from the first two letters of each of the constituent words of the organization's name in the Greenlandic language.

Qorlortorsuaq Dam hydroelectric dam in Greenland

Qorlortorsuaq Dam is a hydroelectric dam near Qorlortorsuaq in the Nanortalik district of the Kujalleq municipality in southern Greenland. It has a capacity of 7.2 MW and it generates power for the neighbouring towns of Qaqortoq and Narsaq.
