National Secondary Route 142, or just Route 142 (Spanish : Ruta Nacional Secundaria 142, or Ruta 142) is a National Road Route of Costa Rica, located in the Alajuela, Guanacaste provinces. [1]
In Alajuela province the route covers San Carlos canton (La Fortuna district).
In Guanacaste province the route covers Cañas canton (Cañas district), Tilarán canton (Tilarán, Santa Rosa, Tierras Morenas, Arenal districts).
Guanacaste is a province of Costa Rica located in the northwestern region of the country, along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It is bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Alajuela Province to the east, and Puntarenas Province to the southeast. It is the most sparsely populated of all the provinces of Costa Rica.
