Naza Automotive Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (NAM) is a Malaysian automobile manufacturer. It is headquartered in Gurun, Kedah. The company was established in 2002 and by 2003, the construction of Naza Group of Companies own manufacturing plant commenced. The manufacturing plant was built on a 140 acres (57 ha) parcel of land comprises an assembly plant, two-storey office, a test track, lots for vendors and suppliers, staff accommodation and recreation facilities.

Kia Corporation, commonly known as Kia and formerly known as Kyungsung Precision Industry (京城精密工业) and Kia Motors Corporation, is a South Korean multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. The Peugeot 206 is a supermini car (B-segment) designed and produced by the French car manufacturer Peugeot since May 1998 as a replacement to the Peugeot 205. Developed under the codename T1, it was released in September 1998 in hatchback form, which was followed by coupé cabriolet in September 2000, station wagon in September 2001, and a sedan version in September 2005, before being replaced by the 207 in April 2006.
The Kia Sportage is a lineup of sport utility vehicles manufactured by the South Korean manufacturer Kia since 1993 through five generations. Initially a compact SUV built on a body-on-frame chassis, the second-generation Sportage transitioned to a car-based platform which placed it into the compact crossover SUV class, and has been developed alongside the Hyundai Tucson. Since the fifth-generation model launched in 2021, Kia developed the Sportage in two sizes with different wheelbase lengths for different markets.

The Kia Carens is a compact car (C-segment) manufactured by Kia since 1999, spanning over four generations, and was marketed worldwide under various nameplates, prominently as the Kia Rondo. The initial three generations had a MPV body style and were marketed worldwide, with presence in its home country South Korea, in Europe, and North America since the second-generation. The fourth-generation model took a different approach in terms of design and targeted markets, as it was developed as a "strategic model" for the Indian market. The Kia Cerato is a compact car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Kia since 2003. In 2008, the Cerato nameplate was replaced by the Forte nameplate in the North American market and the K3 nameplate in South Korea. Gurun is a mukim in Kuala Muda District, Kedah, Malaysia. "Gurun" in English means desert, however the town does not resemble in the slightest the meaning of its English translation. Rather, it derived its name from the word "gerun", which means terrify or "kurun" meaning elephant in the Siamese dialect. These words are associated with an incident during the reign of King Ekataat’s grandsons, Sultan Jaafar Mad Azam Syah, Sultan of the Islamic State of Ayutthia, who was killed in 1876 by the invading Thai armies when they crushed his body using an elephant. This incident took place behind the current Gurun Police Station.

Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO),, is an automobile manufacturer in Vietnam. THACO is a member of Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA). The company was founded in 1997 and is considered one of the pioneers of the Vietnamese auto industry. In 2014 the company captured 32% of Vietnam's automobile market. As of 2017, THACO owned the largest automobile production capacity in Vietnam, at 71,000 units per year.
The automotive industry in Vietnam is a fast-growing sector mainly reliant on domestic sales. All currently produced models are designed abroad by foreign brands, and many rely on knock-down kit production. Due to a high import taxes on automobiles, the Vietnamese government protects domestic manufacturing. Although Vietnam is a member of the ASEAN Free Trade Area, automobile imports fall under an exception. Since January 1, 2018, the 30% import tax has been discontinued as part of ASEAN agreements. Currently, the Vietnamese motor industry is not deemed competitive enough to make exports feasible. As of April 2018, 85% of car sales in Vietnam were produced domestically from CKD kits.
Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) is a Pakistani automobile manufacturer which is a part subsidiary of South Korean automobile manufacturer Kia Motors. It is a joint venture between Lucky Group and Kia Motors. Kia Lucky Motors Pakistan has recently changed its name to Lucky Motors Corporation Limited in 2020 but it does not mean that both companies have ended their partnership.
