Netcracker Technology Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation, provides IT solutions, products and professional services, including business support system (BSS) and operational support systems (OSS), for communications service providers (CSPs) and cable providers. Headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston, Netcracker maintains operations and development facilities worldwide.

History

Founded in 1993, the company provides full-stack OSS/BSS solutions to communications service providers. Netcracker has since expanded into cloud-native, microservices-based solutions, virtualization, automation, generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and Digital Satellite Service solutions.

In 2008 the company was acquired by NEC Corporation for about US$ 300 million becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC. [2] [3] [4]
