The New Zealand national cricket team toured Sri Lanka during the 2003 season, playing two Tests from 25 April to 7 May 2003. New Zealand was led by Stephen Fleming while Sri Lanka was led by Hashan Tillakaratne. Both tests were drawn. [1]
New Zealand then competed against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in a triangular one-day tournament called the Bank Alfalah Cup. New Zealand won the tournament defeating Pakistan in the final. [2]

The 1996 Cricket World Cup, also called the Wills World Cup 1996 after its official sponsors, ITC's Wills brand, was the sixth Cricket World Cup organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was the second World Cup to be hosted by Pakistan and India, and for the first time by Sri Lanka. The tournament was won by Sri Lanka, who defeated Australia by seven wickets in the final on 17 March 1996 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan.
The 2004 ICC Champions Trophy was held in England in September 2004. Twelve teams competed in 15 matches spread over 16 days at three venues: Edgbaston, The Rose Bowl and The Oval. The nations competing included the ten Test nations, Kenya, and – making their One Day International debut – the United States who qualified by winning the 2004 ICC Six Nations Challenge by the smallest of margins.
The R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium(RPS) is a cricket stadium on Khettarama Road, Maligawatta, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The stadium was, before June 1994, known as the Khettarama Cricket Stadium and is today one of the main venues where the Sri Lankan cricket team play, having hosted more than 100 one day international matches. It is the largest stadium in Sri Lanka with a capacity of 50000 spectators. It has hosted the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 finals between Sri Lanka and West Indies, 2002 ICC Champions Trophy finals between Sri Lanka and India and first semi final of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. This was where the highest Test score in the history was recorded; 952 by Sri Lanka against India. With capacity exceeding The Lord's stadium in England, the stadium is known as the "home of Sri Lankan cricket".
The Benson & Hedges World Championship of Cricket was part of the celebrations commemorating the 150th anniversary of European settlement in the Australian state of Victoria. It was a One Day International (ODI) tournament held in Australia from 17 February to 10 March 1985. India defeated Pakistan in the final by 8 wickets.

The 2000 Asia Cup was the seventh edition of the Asia Cup for cricket, which was held in Bangladesh between May–June, 2000. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh took part in the tournament. Pakistan won the tournament beating Sri Lanka by 39 runs in the final. All the games were played at Dhaka's Bangabandhu National Stadium. Yousuf Youhana was declared the Man of the Series.
The Sri Lankan cricket team toured South Africa during the 1997–98 season, playing two Tests from 19 to 30 March 1998. Prior to the series, Sri Lanka had toured South Africa in the 1994–95 season, playing only One Day Internationals in the Mandela Trophy. The 1997 Women's Cricket World Cup, also known as the Hero Honda Women's World Cup, was the sixth edition of the Women's Cricket World Cup, held in India. With 32 matches between a record 11 teams across 25 cricket grounds, England, Australia, New Zealand and India reached the semi-finals, with Australia and New Zealand progressing to the final match, which was played on 29 December 1997. Australia defeated New Zealand by five wickets to win their fourth championship title.

The 2014 Asia Cup was the twelfth edition of the Asia Cup cricket tournament. The tournament was held in Bangladesh from 25 February to 8 March 2014. Pakistan were the defending champions, having won the previous tournament. The tournament included the four Asian test-playing nations, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka; and ICC Asian Associate member Afghanistan. This was the first 50-over tournament in which Afghanistan took part. Ten league matches were played along with the final. The title sponsors of the tournament were Arise India and it was powered by Cycle Agarbathis. Sri Lanka Beat Pakistan in the final to become Asia Cup champions for the fifth time.

The 2014 ICC Women's World Twenty20 was the fourth ICC Women's World Twenty20 competition, taking place in Bangladesh from 23 March to 6 April 2014. The tournament was played in the cities of Sylhet and Dhaka – Cox's Bazar was originally intended to also host matches, but the venue was not available due to ongoing development. The tournament featured 10 teams, rather than the eight at previous tournaments, with all matches in the tournament accorded women's Twenty20 International (T20I) status. Bangladesh and Ireland made their first appearances at the event, which was run concurrently with the men's tournament. Australia won the tournament, beating England in the final by six wickets.
The 2006 Women's Asia Cup was the third Asian Cricket Council Women's Asia Cup. The three teams which took part in the women's One Day International tournament were India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. It was held between 13 and 21 December 2006 in India. All the matches of the tournament were played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The tournament was won by India, defeating Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the final.
The Sri Lanka national cricket team toured Pakistan from December 1991 to January 1992 and played a three-match Test series against the Pakistan national cricket team. Pakistan won the Test series 1–0. Sri Lanka were captained by Aravinda de Silva and Pakistan by Imran Khan. In addition, the teams played a five-match Limited Overs International (LOI) series which Pakistan won 4–1.
The Pakistan cricket team toured Sri Lanka from 11 June to 1 August 2015. The tour consisted of a three-day tour match against a SLCB President's XI, three Test matches, five One Day International and two Twenty20 International matches. The third Test was originally scheduled to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium, but was changed to the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in early May.
