Wendy Ng Yan Yee (born 11 July 1993) is a Malaysian diver.
Ng begin diving at the age of 13 at Bandar Tun Razak Swimming Pool. She was a rhythmic gymnast but her talent was spotted by the national coach, Yang Zhuliang due to her "physical build was good for diving". [2]
She competed 3 m springboard at the 2012 Summer Olympics. [3]
Ng finished 11th in 3 metre springboard at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia and qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics. [4]
Ng went through the 3 metre springboard preliminary round at a ranking of 17, finishes 5th place at the semifinals and lastly ranking at 10th place for the finals.
In diving at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, Ng came in first place in the mixed 3 metre springboard synchro, but was stripped of the gold medal after testing positive for sibutramine. The gold medal was subsequently awarded to fellow Malaysian divers Muhammad Syafiq Puteh and Jasmine Lai Pui Yee. [5] Though not generally considered a performance-enhancing drug, sibutramine is listed in the World Anti-Doping Code as a banned substance. In March 2018, FINA announced that Ng would be suspended from the sport for eight months. As a result, she was unable to compete in diving at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. [6]
Ng competed in diving at the 2020 Summer Olympics in 2021 in Tokyo, Japan. In the women's 3m springboard, she finished 20th with a score of 251.95 points in the preliminaries, and so did not advance to the semifinals. [7]
Dato Pandelela Rinong Pamg, is a Malaysian diver. She has won two Olympic medals and seven World Championships medals.
Shi Tingmao is a Chinese diver representing Chongqing diving team. She has been dominant in the 3 metre springboard events in the 2010s. She has won four gold medals in Olympic competitions, two at the 2016 Olympics and two more at the 2020 Olympics. She also holds eight golds in the World Championships.
Jennifer Abel is a Canadian former diver. She is currently partnered with Mélissa Citrini-Beaulieu for synchronized diving. She won an Olympic bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 3 m synchro diving event with Émilie Heymans and a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the same event with Melissa Citrini-Beaulieu. Abel is a four-time Commonwealth Games champion in the 1 m and 3 m synchronized springboard; and is also a three-time Pan American Games champion in the 3 m springboard and 3 m synchronized springboard. Her ten medals at the FINA World Championships are a record for most medals by a Canadian in diving at the world championships.
Jack David Laugher is a British diver competing for Great Britain and England. A specialist on springboard, he competes in individual springboard events, and in synchronised events with Chris Mears, Daniel Goodfellow and Anthony Harding. Laugher and Mears became Britain's first diving Olympic champions by winning a gold medal in the men's synchronised 3m springboard event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, an achievement many had expected double world 10m champion Tom Daley would achieve first. A week later, Laugher won a silver in the men's individual 3m springboard at the same Games, becoming the first British diver to win multiple Olympic diving medals at the same Games.
Bryan Nickson Lomas is a former Malaysian diver. Lomas was the youngest Malaysian athlete to qualify for 2004 Summer Olympics when he was 14. He became the country's first world junior diving champion after winning gold at the 3 m springboard event in the World Junior Championships held at Belem, Brazil in 2004. He trained under the coaching of Yang Zhuliang. Lomas is named after the footballer Bryan Robson by his father.
Anabelle "Belle" Smith is an Australian diver. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games champion in the 3 metre synchronized springboard. She competed in the 3 m springboard synchronized event at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. She won a bronze medal in 2016, and was placed fifth in 2012.
Cheong Jun Hoong is a retired Malaysian diver. She won a silver medal in the synchronised 10m platform event with Pandelela Rinong at the 2016 Summer Olympics. At the 2017 World Aquatics Championships, she became Malaysia's first diving world champion after winning the 10m platform event.
Christopher James Mears is a British diver and DJ/Producer from Burghfield Common, near Reading, Berkshire. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the synchronised 3m springboard event with Jack Laugher and won gold, the first Olympic gold medal for Britain in diving.
Li Shixin is a Chinese-born Australian diver who specialises in the 1 metre springboard event. Li won gold medals in the 1 metre springboard event in the 2011 and 2013 World Aquatics Championships.

Grace Elizabeth Reid is a Scottish diver representing Scotland and Great Britain, and specialising in 1 metre and 3 metre springboard disciplines. She is a world championship silver medallist in the 1 metre springboard, twice a world medallist in the 3 metre mixed synchronised 3 metre springboard discipline, a double gold medallist at both the European Championships and the Commonwealth Games as well as a multiple minor medallist in both those events, the European Games and the FINA Diving World Cup. Domestically, Reid is a three-time national champion.
The diving competitions at the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur took place at National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil. It was one of four aquatic sports at the Games, along with swimming, water polo, and synchronised swimming.
Jasmine Lai Pui Yee is a Malaysian diver. She grew up in Perak, where she befriended future fellow Perak diving team member Kam Ling Kar. The pair took gold in the 3 metre springboard and 10 metre platform synchro events at the 2011 Asian Age Group Championships, while Lai won a gold medal in the 10 metre platform individual event. Lai and Kam and were initially scheduled to compete in diving at the Southeast Asian Games that same year, but in the end Lai did not participate. Lai won her first gold medal for Perak in the 1 metre springboard event at the 2012 Sukma Games. At the 2014 Sukma Games, she again partnered with Kam for the 3 metre springboard synchro event, where the pair won a gold medal; Lai subsequently edged out Kam to win a gold medal in the 1 metre springboard event as well. Lai and Kam also competed in diving at the 2015 Summer Universiade. In diving at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, Lai won a silver in the 1 metre springboard event, and the gold medal in the mixed 3 metre springboard synchro with Muhammad Syafiq Puteh after fellow Malaysian Ng Yan Yee failed a doping test and was stripped of the gold medal in the latter event. Lai competed in the women's 1 metre springboard and 3 metre springboard events at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. At the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, she placed second in the 3 metre springboard event behind Ng, with a score of 241.95. She retired from the national team in February 2020 to focus on her studies for her final term of university.
