Nilesh Narayan Rane is an Indian Politician. He is from Maharashtra, a state in Western India. He is a son of Narayan Rane Ex Chief Minister of Maharashtra & Current Cabinet Minister of Ministry of MSME.
Nilesh is the son of union cabinet minister Narayan Rane. His brother, Nitesh Narayan Rane, represents Kankavli constituency in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
Nilesh Rane was elected to 15th Lok Sabha of India from Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency of Maharashtra as a member of Indian National Congress (INC).
As part of the 15th Lok Sabha, Rane served on the Committee on Home Affairs and the Rules Committee.
Rane contested from same constituency for a seat in 16th Lok Sabha, but lost to Sena's candidate Vinayak Raut.

The dynastic phenomenon is seen from national level down to district level and even village level.The three-tier structure of Panchayati Raj established in the 1960s also helped to create and consolidate the dynastic phenomenon in rural areas. Apart from government,political families also control cooperative institutions, mainly cooperative sugar factories,district cooperative banks in the state, and since the 1980s private for profit colleges. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party also features several senior leaders who are dynasts. In Maharashtra, the NCP has particularly high level of dynasticism.
