Norhizam bin Hassan Baktee is a Malaysian politician and lorry driver who served as Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali from March 2020 to his resignation in October 2021 for the second term and in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration under former Chief Minister Adly Zahari from May 2018 to the collapse of the PH state administration in March 2020 for the first term. [1] [2] as well as a Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pengkalan Batu from May 2018 to November 2021. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and was an independent and a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He is also informally known by his nicknames such as Hulk or Gangster,for his temperamental mood and fondness of wearing body-fit shirts. [3] [4]
Norhizam an ex-lorry driver,was a United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) of Pantai Peringgit branch before he quit in 2006 to join DAP as he felt that the UMNO is not a trustworthy and transparent party anymore and in following the footstep of his father;who contested twice in the 1980s elections as DAP candidate but had failed to win the seat known as Peringgit then [5] which Norhizam himself redeemed and represented later after he was elected to Malacca State Legislative Assembly as a MLA for Pengkalan Batu constituency picked by DAP to contest in the 2018 Malacca state election and appointed as EXCO member after PH came into power as administration under Melaka PH Chairman Adly Zahari as Chief Minister in May 2018. [6] He also been conferred the Malacca state "Datukship" title and award in 2019. [7]
After the collapsed of PH state government following the so-called 'Sheraton Move' in 2020 Malaysian political crisis,Norhizam somehow withdrew support for PH and left DAP to be independent and defected to support BN-PN to form a new state government instead,allowing BN came into power again under Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali and he was reappointed EXCO member. [8]
In October 2021,he and three other MLAs withdrew support for the BN government and it has again collapsed,triggering the snap 2021 Malacca state election. [9] [10] Norhizam after being rejected by PH to contest under its banner, [11] decided to defend the seat as an independent candidate in the November state election. [12] [13] [14] Failing to keep his seat,he only managed to garner 1,218 votes in the five-cornered fight won by BN's Kalsom Nordin. [15] [16] [17]
On 23 October 2024,Norhizam announced his return to politics by joining BERSATU and participating in the BERSATU party elections,contesting for a position in the BERSATU Hang Tuah Jaya division. [18]
In October 2018,Norhizam's rude manner and heated shouting argument including his arrogant outburst,"Siapa YB? Awak YB kah saya YB?" (Who's the assemblyman? You or me?) when he was engaging his constituents and villagers of Kampung Pulai Nibong who had brought up the issue about a road being closed was widely circulated online and caught social media attention. [3] His remarks had caused netizens to criticise Norhizam as an unfit lawmaker and should be sacked. [6]
Norhizam as the Agriculture,Agro-Based,Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative Committee EXCO had in September 2019 made an unproven assumption that the state was being invaded with Indonesian wild boars swam across the narrow Strait of Malacca from Sumatera which was refuted by Malaysian Nature Society (MNS). [19] [20] His in-doubt claims had caused infuriation from the neighbouring country [21] and his obsession with the endangered animal even led him to set-up a task force to eradicate them which had earned him the 'Pig Shooting Champ' title in jest. [22] [23]
He called Low Chee Leong,MLA for Kota Laksamana "babi" (pig),"bodoh" (stupid) and "bangang" (idiot) in the state assembly sitting in May 2020. [24] [25] Both of them were formerly MLAs from DAP before Norhizam turn independent supporting the opposing political coalition. [4] [26]
On 13 October 2021,Malacca police seized his official car after his refusal to return it following his termination as EXCO member due to the dissolution of the state assembly on 4 October 2021. [27]
He has been married with Norlishah Ibrahim and has two children. [28]

Idris bin Haron is a Malaysian politician who served as the 10th Chief Minister of Melaka from May 2013 to May 2018,Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) from March 2020 to his resignation in October 2021,Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sungai Udang from May 2013 to November 2021,Deputy Minister of Higher Education from March 2008 to April 2009 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Tangga Batu from March 2004 to May 2013. Internationally,he is President of the World Assembly of Youth. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He was also member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
Koh Nai Kwong is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as a Senator since March 2024 and from December 2020 to December 2023. The 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis was triggered after several Members of Parliament (MPs) of the 14th Malaysian Parliament changed party support,leading to the loss of a parliamentary majority,the collapse of two successive coalition governments,and the resignation of two Prime Ministers. The political crisis culminated in a 2022 snap general election and eventual formation of a coalition government. This crisis ended in 2022 and Malaysian political crisis continued in the State of Sabah known as 2023 Kinabalu Move.

He is also a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition. He was a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and previously PH coalition. He served as the Vice President of BERSATU from August 2020 to his resignation in October 2022,State Chairman of PN and BERSATU of Melaka from January 2021 to his resignations in November 2021.
Noor Effandi bin Ahmad is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Telok Mas from May 2018 to November 2021 and Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) from May 2018 to March 2020 for the first time and again from March 2020 to his resignation in October 2021.
Muhammad Jailani bin Khamis is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Rembia since May 2018. He served as Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali from November 2021 to March 2023 for the third term,from March 2020 to November 2021 for the second term and under former Chief Minister Adly Zahari from May 2018 to the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration in March 2020 for the first term. He is a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. He was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition before leaving UMNO for PAS and of the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of the PH coalition before leaving PKR and becoming an independent and supporting the BN coalition for nine months and later joining UMNO. He is also one of the only three Melaka Opposition and PN MLAs alongside State Leader of the Opposition and Bemban MLA Mohd Yadzil Yaakub and Sungai Udang MLA Mohd Aleef Yusof.
Tey Kok Kiew is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration under former Chief Minister Adly Zahari from May 2018 to the collapse of the PH state administration in March 2020 as well as Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bandar Hilir from March 2008 to November 2021. He is a member from Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the PH coalition. He served as State Chairman of DAP of Malacca for the first term from December 2015 to his resignation in November 2021 following a huge defeat of DAP in the 2021 Malacca state election and the second term from January 2023 to his resignation again in June 2024.
Lim Ban Hong is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kelebang from May 2013 to May 2018 and again since November 2021. He served as the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Azmin Ali from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Azmin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021,Senator from March 2020 to his resignation in November 2022 as well as Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) in BN state administration under former Chief Minister Idris Haron from July 2014 to the collapse of the BN state administration in May 2018. He is a member and State Chairman of Malacca of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA),a component party of the BN coalition. He has also served as a Vice President of MCA since November 2018.
Mohamad Ali bin Mohamad is a Malaysian politician and teacher who had served as the 14th Deputy President of the Dewan Negara from December 2020 and a Senator from May 2020 to May 2023. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He served as the State Deputy Chairman of UMNO of Melaka from July 2018 and Division Chief of UMNO of Tangga Batu till March 2023.
The 2021 Malacca state election,formally the 15th Malacca state election,took place on 20 November 2021. This election was to elect 28 members of the 15th Malacca State Legislative Assembly. The previous assembly was dissolved on 4 October 2021.
Kalsom binti Noordin is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh since April 2023 for the second term and under former Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali from November 2021 to March 2023,as well as the Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pengkalan Batu since November 2021. She is a member,State Women's Chief of Malacca and the Women's Division Chief of Hang Tuah Jaya of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition. She is also the sole female EXCO member.
The 2022 Johor state election,formally the 15th Johor general election,took place on 12 March 2022. The election was to elect 56 members of the 15th Johor State Legislative Assembly. The previous assembly was dissolved on 22 January 2022.

He is presently the sole Melaka EXCO Member of PH and DAP.
Leng Chau Yen is a Malaysian politician who has served as Deputy Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh and Member Kalsom Noordin since April 2023 as well as Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bandar Hilir since November 2021. She is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. She has served as State Vice Chairperson of the DAP of Malacca since January 2022 and Women Chief of DAP of Kota Melaka since 2020. She is presently one of the only two Melaka Deputy EXCO Members of PH and DAP along with Low Chee Leong and the sole female Malacca MLA of PH and DAP. Fairul Nizam bin Roslan,familiarly known as Along,is a Malaysian politician who has served as a Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh since April 2023 and Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Asahan since November 2021. He is a member and the Division Chief Alor Gajah of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition. He was also the State Youth Chief of UMNO of Malacca.
