Norka Latamblet Daudinot (born 4 October 1963, in Baracoa), [1] also known as Norka Latamblet, is a former volleyball player from Cuba who played with the Cuban women's national volleyball team and won a gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics. [2] [3] She was an outside hitter. [4]
Latamblet helped the Cuban national team win gold medals at the 1983, 1987, and 1991 Pan American Games, and a silver medal at the 1986 FIVB World Championship. [2] She also won gold medals at the 1989 and 1991 FIVB World Cup. [4]
Alejandrina Mireya Luis Hernández, often referred to as Mireya, is a Cuban former volleyball player and three-time Olympic gold medalist. She won gold medals at the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Olympics with the Cuban women's national volleyball team. She was the captain of the Cuban team from the late 1980s until her retirement.
