Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University is a university situated in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Formerly North Maharashtra University was established on 15 August 1990 after separating it from the parent University of Pune. [1]

In 2001, NAAC accredited the prestigious 4-Star Status to the university. [1] The university was re-accredited by NAAC as 'B'(CGPA 2.88 on 4 point scale) grade university. [2] Currently during the third cycle re-accreditation by NAAC, the university has been awarded with 'A' grade (CGPA 3.11 on 4-point scale)

Campus

The university campus is located about 8 km away from Jalgaon and 1.5 km away from the Asia Highway No. 46. It occupies an area of 660 acres (2.7 km2) on the banks of Girna river and on a hilly terrain (above mean sea level 810 ft.).

The university boasts of impressive infrastructural facilities, such as expansive administrative, examination, and library buildings, School/Institute-specific structures, numerous classrooms, technologically up-to-date laboratories, advanced research facilities, a Senate Hall, a Convocation Auditorium, an indoor sports stadium, a Health Center, a Guest House, a Shikshak Bhavan, a VVIP Guest House, hostels, Staff quarters, a Central School (Kendriya Vidyalaya), a library, post office, bank, ATM, and a Shopping Complex, all of which have been established within the university's short 24-year existence. These resources have proven to be more than sufficient to meet the needs of the teaching and non-teaching staff, students, researchers, and stakeholders.

School of Chemical Sciences runs six master and Ph.D. programs. These programs are Master in Chemistry having six different specialisations - viz. Polymer Chemistry, Pesticides and Agrochemical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry. The school is engaged in having nice industry university interactions by doing applied and industrial research. The school is also engaged in basic research and received number of projects from various Govt. funding agencies such as UGC, DST, CSIR, DRDO, etc. Students of the school are also receiving jobs in industries, and many of them have established their own industries.

Federal Institute of Science And Technology (FISAT) is a private engineering college and business school in Mookkannoor, Kerala, India, run by the Federal Bank Officers' Association Educational Society (FBOAES), established in 2002. Chaudhary Devi Lal University, named after Chaudhary Devi Lal, the former Deputy Prime Minister of India was established by the Government of Haryana on 2 April 2003. Government College Kasaragod(GCK) is the campus located in Vidyanagar, the Educational District of Kasaragod with 19 departments including degree courses, PG courses and research centers under Kannur University was established in 1957. The college is re-accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC. The college is now running with more than 1500 students, 100 teaching staffs and 40 Non-Teaching Staffs. The college has functioning facilities like Library, Computer Lab, Career Guidance and Placement Cell etc. and several active groups such as NSS, NCC, Bhoomithra Sena (BMS), Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) etc.
