The Northeast 8 Athletic Conference (NE8) is an OHSAA athletic league that began competition for the 2018-19 school year. It is primarily made up of members that were part of the All-American Conference along with previously independent South Range. [1]

The idea for the NE8 was created in May 2017 when members of the All-American Conference's Blue and White divisions decided to break away and form their own league. [2] South Range had previously been set to join the newly-created Eastern Buckeye Conference in 2018, [3] but then received an invitation to join the AAC Blue tier with Crestview High School at the same time they were invited to join the NE8. With three league invitations, South Range decided to help form the Northeast 8.
The first NE8 Cross Country Championships were held at Niles Stephens Park on October 10, 2018. In the high school meet, the boys individual champion was Luke Baun from South Range High School and the girls individual champion was Jackie Grisdale from Poland High School. Team championships were won by Niles High School boys and Poland High School girls. In the middle school meet, the girls champion was Tara Wine from South Range High School.
West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North, also known as WW-P North, is a four-year public comprehensive high school located in Plainsboro Township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades. Centered in Lima, Ohio, the Western Buckeye League is an OHSAA athletic league located in northwest Ohio and includes schools in Allen, Auglaize, Defiance, Hardin, Mercer, Putnam, and Van Wert counties. The league's school district boundaries also include portions of Logan, Paulding, Shelby, and Wyandot counties. The WBL originally formed in 1936 and is one of the oldest high school conferences in the state. The Western Buckeye League currently awards championships in 13 Varsity sports: baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, and wrestling. An academic bowl tournament for the schools in the league began annually in 2004.
The Northeast Ohio Conference (NOC) was a high school athletics conference, recognized by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), in northeast Ohio. Eighteen member schools — each located within the Northeast District of the OHSAA — competed in three six-member divisions: Valley, River and Lake. Dan Gerome served as the last NOC commissioner. Anthony J. Paletta designed the conference logo in 2006.

The Northern 10 Athletic Conference is an OHSAA athletic conference that is currently made up of nine schools from northern Ohio and began athletic competition in 2014. Six schools came from the North Central Conference, three came from the Midland Athletic League, and one (Ridgedale) came from the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference. Riverdale was also supposed to come over from the North Central Conference, but had its membership terminated when it accepted an invitation to the Blanchard Valley Conference.
