The All-American Conference is a high school athletic conference made of up of schools from Trumbull and Mahoning Counties in Ohio. they compete in the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
The All-American Conference was formed in 2008, after a merger of the Trumbull Athletic, and Metro Athletic Conferences. [1] The league, not to be confused with the former All-American Football Conference that existed from 1963 until 1979 as well as the All-American Athletic Conference that existed from 1986-89.
During the peak of its existence, the AAC was divided between 4 tiers, based on enrollment of each school, which was the Red, Gold, White and Blue tier.
In the 2017-18 school year, the White and Blue tiers had left the league to form the Northeast 8 Athletic Conference. [2]
In 2019, Lakeside, Edgewood and Youngstown East left the league in favor of the Chagrin Valley Conference and Steel Valley Conferences respectively. [3]
In 2020, the Blue tier of the AAC announced their departure from the league to form the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference with the former members of the Inter-Tri County League. [4]
In July 2025, the AAC announced Louisville will be joining the league effective the 2026-27 school year, who was previously independent. [5]
