Orion Group is one of the largest Bangladeshi industrial conglomerates. The Rampal Power Station is a 1320 megawatt coal-fired power station currently under construction at Rampal Upazila of Bagerhat District in Khulna, Bangladesh. The power plant, being constructed over 1834 acres of land, is situated 14 kilometres north of the world's largest mangrove forest Sundarbans, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It will be the country's largest power plant.

The Payra 1320 MW thermal power plant is a 1,320 megawatt coal-fired power station built in Kalapara Upazila of Patuakhali District in southern Bangladesh. It is a joint venture between the North-West Power Generation Company Bangladesh Limited (NWPGCL) and China National Machinery Import and Export Corporation (CMC). Till May 2023, this plant was producing 700 to 1000 megawatts of electricity every day.
The Port of Payra is a seaport located at Kalapara in Patuakhali, Bangladesh. It was established by an Act of Parliament in 2013. The port was officially inaugurated in 2016.
