OVoz (Uzbek for The Voice) is an Uzbek singing reality competition television series broadcast on Zo'r TV. Created by John de Mol, it premiered on 20 April 2024. [1] Based on the original The Voice of Holland , and part of The Voice franchise, it aims to find unsigned singing talent (solo or duets, professional and amateur) contested by aspiring singers, age 16 or over, drawn from public auditions.
Presentation ceremony was held on 16 March 2024 on the Zo'r TV channel. At the press conference held on the same day, it was said that Uzbekistan is the 76th country in the world that has received the right to show this TV project. At the ceremony, Farrukh Zakirov, Sevara Nazarkhan, Tahir Sodikov and Ozodbek Nazarbekov were introduced as the first coaches of the "Voice" musical project. [2]

The Golden Globe Awards are awards presented for excellence in both international film and television. It is an annual award ceremony held since 1944 to honor artists and professionals and their work. The ceremony is normally held every January, and has been a major part of the film industry's awards season, which culminates each year in the Academy Awards. The Uzbekistan Footballer of the Year is a yearly football award presented by the Uzbekistan Football Association to the most outstanding Uzbekistan footballer among who has been considered to have performed the best in national team or over Uzbekistan Super League and other national championship season. The award is given out at the end of the calendar year and is decided by the survey among sport journalists and football experts.
The Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan Foundation, also known as The Fund Forum, established in February 2004, was an NGO in Uzbekistan, pursuing the goal of supporting domestic science, culture, education and sports. Among the founders and trustees of the Fund were famous figures of culture and arts from Uzbekistan and foreign countries. Chairperson of Board of Trustees was Gulnara Karimova. The Fund Forum was the biggest public organisation in Uzbekistan, and it expanded its international activities, currently it has representative offices in Moscow, Beijing, Tokyo, Paris, Vienna, Geneva, Madrid, New York City, Berlin and London. The NGO was closed in November 2013.

The Voice Kids is a Philippine television reality talent competition show broadcast by ABS-CBN, Kapamilya Channel and GMA Network. Based on the Dutch television series The Voice Kids, it is a spin-off of The Voice of the Philippines. Originally directed by Johnny Manahan, it was originally hosted by Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga. It premiered on May 24, 2014, on ABS-CBN's Yes Weekend line up. Dingdong Dantes served as the host for the most recent season.

Nilufar Usmanova is an Uzbek singer and actress. She received primary education in school number 18 and number 17. At age 10 her parents sent her to the United Kingdom, where during four years she studied in educational institutions such as the Vinehall School (1996–1999) and Sherborne International College (1999–2000). In 2001 Nilufar returned to Uzbekistan, entered to the Tashkent Ulugbek International School and finished it in 2004.In 2006, Nilufar, aiming to become lawyer, started studying in Tashkent State Law University and graduated in 2013.
Uzbekistan had a total primary energy supply (TPES) of 48.28 Mtoe in 2012. Electricity consumption was 47.80 TWh. The majority of primary energy came from fossil fuels, with natural gas, coal and oil the main sources. Hydroelectricity, the only significant renewable source in the country, accounted for about 2% of the primary energy supply. The series is based on the life of Jalal ad-Din Mingburnu, the last ruler of the Khwarazmian Empire, and features Turkish actor Emre Kıvılcım portraying the titular character.

Dauletmurat Tazhimuratov is a Karakalpak lawyer, journalist, and human rights defender who played a leading role in the 2022 Karakalpak protests. In January 2023, he was sentenced to 16 years imprisonment for "orchestrating mass riots" and "attempting to seize power" in what Human Rights Watch described as a politically motivated trial. In November 2023, the United Nations issued a statement calling on the Uzbek government to stop the persecution of Tazhimuratov and other defenders of minority rights.
