Ocholi Abel Edicha // ( Loudspeaker.svg listen ) (born 10 May 1979) is a Nigerian badminton player. [1] He was the men's singles gold medalist at the 2003 All-Africa Games, [2] also in the mixed team event in 2007. [3] He competed at the 2002 and 2010 Commonwealth Games. [4] [5]

Contents

Edicha started his career in badminton at the young age. With the support from his father, he joined Enugu Sports Council. He was recruited by Nigerian Army in 1996, spent for 23 years. He stopped playing for his country after the 2010 New Delhi Commonwealth Games. [6]

He competed in badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the mixed doubles with Juliette Ah-Wan and they were defeated in the first round by Robert Mateusiak and Nadieżda Kostiuczyk. Pranaav Jerry Chopra is an Indian badminton player. He joined the India national badminton team in 2007. In the year 2018, at the Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Queensland, he won the gold medal in mixed team as being a member of the Indian mixed team. He is only the second player from India to reach Top 15 in the World Rankings in Mixed Doubles with his partner.

Foo Kune represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was the flag bearer for Mauritius during the Parade of Nations.

Partnered with Juliette Ah-Wan, they secured the women's doubles gold medal at the 2015 All-Africa Games.

Steve Hansley Malcouzanne is a Seychellois badminton player. He competed at the 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018 Commonwealth Games. Godwin Richard Olofua is a Nigerian badminton player who participated at local and international badminton competitions representing Nigeria and has won several trophies. Olofua won gold medal in the mixed team event with silver and bronze medals in singles and doubles events at the 2019 African Championships in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He also won gold during the 2019 African Games in the mixed team, a silver in the men's doubles and a bronze in the men's singles. Olofua won the men's doubles title at the 2018 Côte d'Ivoire, 2019 Benin and Cameroon International tournaments partnered with Anuoluwapo Juwon Opeyori. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
