The Odisha State Financial Corporation, formerly known as Orissa State Financial Corporation is a state financial corporation of Odisha. The corporation was established in 1956 under the State Financial Corporations Act, 1951 and State Financial Corporations (Amendment) Act 2000 with the main object of providing loan assistance to the micro, small and medium enterprises.

Cuttack is one of the oldest & major cities in India and the former capital of the state of Odisha. Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) was established as a municipality in 4 June 1876. It was named as a corporation in 15 August 1994. This corporation covers an area of 192.5 km2 with a population above 14,54,328(Metro area). It includes road coverage of 783 km. with numerous drains of about 1729 km. It owns and operates four units of power plant- 2 units of 210 MW each and 2 units of 660 MW each totalling a generation capacity of 1740 MW of power at Ib Thermal Power Station (ITPS), Banharpali in Jharsuguda District of Odisha.The generation from these units is committed to GRIDCO on the basis of a long-term Power Purchase Agreement.

Grid Corporation of Odisha or GRIDCO was incorporated as a Public Sector Undertaking of Government of Odisha on 20 April 1995 under the Companies Act 1956. Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO) got the Certificate of Commencement of Business on 6 July 1995 and started functioning as a subsidiary of Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission, a Government of Odisha Power Utility. Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO) does business of transmission and bulk supply of electricity and other related activities under an exclusive license issued by Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission.

CPSEs have been earned revenue of about ₹25.43 lakh crore during the financial year 2018–19.
Āhār Yojanā is a food subsidisation program run by the Government of Odisha to provide cheap lunch to the urban poor at a price of five rupees inspired from the Amma Unavagam of Tamilnadu. It was inaugurated on April 1, 2015 by the Chief Minister of Odisha Navin Patnaik on Utkal Divas. The program provides meals in five major cities of Odisha. The actual cost of the food is around ₹ 20 but is subsidised to ₹ 5 with financial assistance from the Odisha Mining Corporation. It is targeted at more than 60,000 people per day.
