Arundel is a town in York County, Maine, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 4,264. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Municipality of Arundel includes the constituent communities and neighbourhoods of: Arundel Village, Vinegar Hill, Riverside Arundel, Log Cabin Crossing, Goff Mill, Millers Crossing, and Cottagehill, among other neighbourhoods in an inland area adjacent to the Towns of Kennebunkport and Biddeford. In 2014, Arundel was named “Best Place to Live in Maine” by Downeast Magazine.

The twin cities of Saco and Biddeford include the resort communities of Biddeford Pool and Fortunes Rocks. The town is the site of the University of New England and the annual La Kermesse Franco-Americaine Festival. First visited by Europeans in 1616, it is the site of one of the earliest European settlements in the United States. It is home to Saint Joseph's Church, the tallest building in Maine.

Interstate 195 (I-195), also known as the Saco Industrial Spur, is a short auxiliary Interstate Highway running 1.55 miles (2.49 km) in eastern York County, Maine. The highway, located entirely in the city of Saco, is a nominally east–west route that provides access to downtown Saco and the resort town of Old Orchard Beach from I-95. The western terminus of I-195 is at a trumpet interchange with the Maine Turnpike in central Saco. The route has numbered interchanges with Industrial Park Road, US Route 1 (US 1), and State Route 5 (SR 5) before terminating at an at-grade intersection with SR 5 near the border between Saco and Old Orchard Beach.
Thornton Academy is a co-educational, independent boarding and day school serving grades 9–12 located in Saco, Maine. Thornton Academy also opened a full-time, private junior high school on its campus, named Thornton Academy Middle School, which serves grades 6-8 for Saco, Dayton, Arundel students.
Saco Transportation Center, also referred to as Saco or Saco–Biddeford in some timetables, is a passenger transportation station in Saco, Maine served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system, and other transportation providers. On average, about 110 passengers daily board or detrain Amtrak's Downeaster service at the station, making it the third-busiest stop in Maine. The station is located next to the Pan Am Railways mainline, formerly the Western Route mainline of the Boston & Maine Railroad.

Biddeford Saco Old Orchard Beach Transit, or BSOOB Transit, is the primary provider of public transportation in the Tri-Town area of Maine, just south of Portland. It operates a system of fixed bus routes in Biddeford, Saco, Scarborough and Old Orchard Beach, an express commuter bus service that connects the Tri-Town area to downtown Portland, and seasonal trolleys that serve tourist destinations in the area. Many of the system's routes connect to the agency's hub at the Saco Transportation Center, which opened in 2019. Along with the Greater Portland Metro Bus and the South Portland Bus Service, BSOOB Transit accepts fares electronically via the DiriGO TouchPass system.

Susan A. Deschambault is an American politician and retired law enforcement officer from Maine. She represents Maine Senate District 32, which comprises the towns of Alfred, Arundel, Biddeford, Dayton, Kennebunkport and Lyman. Deschambault, a Democrat from Biddeford, was first elected in a special election in March 2016. Prior to the Senate, she served two terms as a city councilor in Biddeford and was president of the Maine Association of Police for 21 years.

A Democrat, she serves in the Maine Senate representing District 31, which includes her residence in Saco, as well as the towns of Old Orchard Beach, Hollis, Limington and part of Buxton. Bailey grew up in Berlin, New Hampshire, and attended Berlin High School, Bates College and the University of Maine School of Law. She worked in real estate law, family law and probate law in private practice and was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2016. In 2020, Bailey was elected to her first term in the Maine Senate.
