Omidabad (Persian : اميدآباد‎, also Romanized as Omīdābād; also known as Omīdābād-e Yesirgechan)^[1] is a village in Soltanali Rural District, in the Central District of Gonbad-e Qabus County, Golestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 740, in 148 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Soltanali Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Gonbad-e Qabus County, Golestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 30,798, in 6,302 families. The rural district has 26 villages.
