Baboquivari Peak Wilderness

The Baboquivari Peak Wilderness is a 2,065-acre (8 km2) wilderness area in the U.S. state of Arizona. It is located in the Baboquivari Mountains 50 miles (80 km) southwest of Tucson, Arizona. It is administered by the Bureau of Land Management. The United States Congress designated the Baboquivari Peak Wilderness in 1990. It is the smallest such designated wilderness in the state of Arizona. Today, the 2,900,000-acre (12,000 km2) Tohono O'odham Nation lies to the west. Baboquivari Peak's elevation is 7,730 feet. It is a popular site for many climbers, tourists and other visitors to Arizona and can be seen in the distance from the Kitt Peak National Observatory. Ochteridae

The Ochteridae comprise a small family of insects. Eight genera with about 80 species have been described. They occur worldwide along the shore of various types of water and the greatest diversity is in tropical regions. They are "true bugs", being members of the order Hemiptera, and are in the suborder Heteroptera. Ochteridae commonly are known as the velvety shore bugs. They resemble the Saldidae shore bugs and have lengths ranging from 4.5 to 9 mm (0.18–0.35 in).

Tohono Oʼodham Indian Reservation

The Tohono Oʼodham Indian Reservation, is an Indian reservation of the Tohono Oʼodham Nation located in Arizona, United States. The reservation had a total 2000 census population of 10,787. The reservation has a land area of 11,243.098 square kilometres (4,340.984 sq mi), 97.48 percent of the Tohono Oʼodham Nation total area. The reservation encompasses portions of central Pima, southwestern Pinal, and southeastern Maricopa Counties.

Baboquivari National Forest was established as the Baboquivari Forest Reserve by the U.S. Forest Service in Arizona on November 5, 1906 with 126,720 acres (512.8 km2). On March 4, 1907 it became a National Forest, and on July 1, 1908 the entire forest was combined with Huachuca National Forest and Tumacacori National Forest to establish Garces National Forest. The name was discontinued.
