Oras Tynkkynen (Topi Oras Kalevi Tynkkynen,born 1977) is a Member of the Parliament of Finland,representing the Green League. [1] Tynkkynen was the chair of the Green parliamentary group. [2] He served as Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen's Advisor on Climate Policy. [3] Also Tynkkynen is a Member of the City Council of Tampere and an environmental activist. He has also held positions in numerous other organisations,such as Friends of the Earth Finland. Oras Tynkkynen became a member of Parliament in 2004 as a replacement when Satu Hassi left her seat upon her election to the European Parliament. He was directly elected to the Parliament in 2007.
Tynkkynen was born in Jyväskylä,Finland. He graduated from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Tampere. From the age of 14 he has been active in environmental and developmental organizations. He is a founding member of Friends of the Earth Finland and has been its vice president in 1996–1997 and in the spring of 2004. Tynkkynen has written articles in many newspapers and has been a reporter for YLE's radio news. His writings often concentrate on equity and the environment,especially climate change.

Tynkkynen was the first openly gay Member of the Parliament of Finland, [1] but has since been joined by others,such as Jani Toivola and Silvia Modig. In his free time he enjoys sports,reading,electronic music and travel.
Satu Maijastiina Hassi is a Finnish politician,and former Member of the European Parliament for the Green League. She served as the Minister of Environment and Development Co-Operation in Paavo Lipponen's second cabinet between 15 April 1999 and 31 May 2002. In accordance with her party's position on the issue,she quit the cabinet in protest of the government's decision to build a fifth nuclear power plant in Finland. Hassi served as the leader of her party between 1999 and 2001. She was a member of the national parliament from 1991 to 2004;she left the parliament when she was elected to the European Parliament as the sole Finnish Green representative in the 2004 election.

Johan (Juho) Peura was a Finnish carpenter and politician. He was a member of the Parliament of Finland from 1913 to 1916,representing the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP). During the Finnish Civil War he sided with the Reds and served as the president of the Revolutionary Tribunal of Tampere,for which he was imprisoned after the Battle of Tampere on 6 April 1918. He died in the Tampere camp.
Mats Löfström is a Finnish politician representing Åland Centre. Löfström is the single member of parliament for the autonomous region of Åland in the Parliament of Finland. He was an Åland Centre party candidate to the Finnish Parliament on the Åland Coalition list at the 2015 Finnish parliamentary election. Löfström was elected,replacing Elisabeth Nauclér as the single representative of Åland in the Finnish Parliament. Löfström was re-elected in 2019 and 2023.
Hanna Katariina Mäntylä is a Finnish politician and the former Minister of Social Affairs and Health. She represented the Finns Party until June 2017 and was the second deputy chairwoman of the party. She was elected to the Parliament from Lapland in 2011.
