Orlando Ortiz Chevres (born April 21,1978) is a Puerto Rican politician and the current mayor of Naranjito. Ortiz is affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP) and has served as mayor since 2009. [1]
Graduated from Francisco Morales high school in Naranjito. In 2003 he obtained a master's degree in administration and human resources from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.
Ortiz is also serves in the Puerto Rico National Guard since 2005. In February 2020 he obtained the certification in "Financial Management Technician 36b" at Fort Knox,Kentucky,US,where he specialized in finance.
Rafael Hernández Colón was a Puerto Rican politician who served as the governor of Puerto Rico from 1973 to 1977 and 1985 to 1993 for a total of three terms. An experienced politician,Hernández held the record for having been the youngest Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to date,having won his first term at the age of 36. Hernández was also the person to have run for governor the most times,a total of five. During his terms as governor,Hernández Colón's administrations were known for trying to invigorate the Puerto Rican economy as well as for defending the political status quo of the island. He is also the second longest-serving Puerto Rico Governor with 12 years of service due to his three terms.
Naranjito is a town and municipality of Puerto Rico located in the central region of the island,south of Toa Alta;north of Barranquitas and Comerío;east of Corozal;and west of Bayamón. Naranjito is spread over 7 barrios and Naranjito Pueblo. It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Toa Alta is a town and municipality of Puerto Rico located in the northern coast of the island,north of Naranjito;south of Dorado and Toa Baja;east of Vega Alta and Corozal;and west of Bayamón. Toa Alta is spread over eight barrios and Toa Alta Pueblo. It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo metropolitan statistical area. There are nine barrios in Toa Alta and altogether in 2020 had a population of 66,852. Río de la Plata,is a large river that runs through Toa Alta. Toa Alta celebrates its patron saint festival in May.

WECN,branded on-air as Único TV,is a Spanish Religious television station serving eastern Puerto Rico that is licensed to Naranjito. The station is owned by Único TV Media under its licensee,Encuentro Christian Network. The station's studios are located at Carr. 167,Urb. Rexville in Bayamon and its transmitter is at Barrio Cedro Abajo in Naranjito. WECN programming was also seen on WRUA,channel 33 in Fajardo before that station switched affiliations and frequency to Tiva TV. Since September 24,2015,WECN returns to the air,broadcasting Religious programming on channel 18.1.
Puerto Rico Highway 5 (PR-5) is a main highway in the San Juan Metropolitan area which connects the cities of Cataño to Bayamón and is being extended and converted to a tollway to access the municipalities of Naranjito and Comerío. It is a short freeway from south Cataño to the business area in Bayamón. It makes intersections with PR-22,PR-6,PR-2 and PR-199,where it ends at this time. The highway will parallel PR-167 and will contain the new cable-stayed bridge being built between Bayamón and Naranjito. It will probably end in Puerto Rico highway 152 when completed.
Puerto Rico Highway 164 (PR-164) is the main road from Naranjito to Corozal in Puerto Rico. It begins at the intersection of PR-167 and PR-148 in eastern Naranjito,passing through downtown. Then it goes to Corozal from its junction with PR-5 and PR-152 until reaching PR-159 near downtown Corozal. This road is 16.4 km (10.2 mi) in length.
Puerto Rico Highway 159 (PR-159) is the main road from Morovis to Toa Alta,passing through the municipality of Corozal in Puerto Rico. This road begins in downtown Morovis,from its intersection with PR-155 and PR-6623 to its junction with PR-165 in Toa Alta. It is about 21 km (13 mi) long.
