Ortho-DOT, also known as 4,5-dimethoxy-2-methylthioamphetamine or as 2-thio-TMA-2, is a drug. [1] Ortho-DOT was first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin. [1] In his book PiHKAL (Phenethylamines i Have Known And Loved) , neither the dose nor the duration are known. [1] Ortho-DOT produces few to no effects. [1] Very little data exists about the pharmacological properties, metabolism, and toxicity of Ortho-DOT. [1]
