The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN),natively known as Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB) is the naval force of Brunei. It is a small but relatively well-equipped military force whose main responsibility is to conduct search and rescue missions,and to deter and defend the Brunei waters against attack mounted by seaborne forces.
The Ijtihad class consists of four fast patrol boats built by Lürssen Werft in Germany,and delivered to Brunei Darussalam in 2009. They patrol the coast of Brunei,and sometimes participate in joint naval exercises. The lead ship in the class is KDB Ijtihad (17).
KDB Seteria (P-04) is the third ship of Waspada-class built up in the late 1970s,one of three ordered in Singapore. She was launched on 1978,and is still in active service with the Royal Brunei Navy.

Hamzah bin Haji Sahat is a retired Bruneian airman and the 11th Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) who served in post from September 2020 until his retirement in March 2022. He previously held the position as the 8th Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) from 2018 to 2020.
Mohammad Sharif bin Haji Ibrahim is a Bruneian airman who is the fifteenth and current Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) since 28 August 2020. He became the first commanding officer (CO) of the Officer Cadet School (OCS),Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces,programme manager at the Centre of Science and Technology Research and Development (CSTRAD),and the country's first defence attachéin Washington,D.C. in the United States.
Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma'awiah was a Bruneian military officer who was the thirteenth Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) from 2015 to 2018 and thereafter Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence. Prior to this,he was also the defence attachéof Brunei to Malaysia in 2010.
Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah is a retired Bruneian military officer who served as the 8th commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) from 2008 to 2013.
Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit is a retired Bruneian military officer and politician. He previously served as the ninth Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) from 2014 to 2015. He was also the Deputy Minister of Defence from 2015 to 2018.
Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir is the current Ambassador of Brunei to Indonesia since 2024. He was formerly the Deputy Minister of Defence and the 12th Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) in 2022. Additionally,he was among the contingent attached to the International Monitoring Team (IMT) in Mindanao.
Pengiran Ibnu Basit bin Pengiran Haji Apong,also known as Pengiran Ibnu Ba'asith,is a nobleman,soldier and politician in the Government of Brunei whole formerly took office as the Deputy Minister of Defence from 1986 to 2005,and the first local officer to be the commanding officer of the Boat Sections of the Boats Section AMDB from 1965 to 1966.

Additionally,he formerly took office as the tenth commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) from 2015 to 2019.
Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Seruji,also referred to as Dato Spry,is a Bruneian military officer whom formerly took office as the twelfth commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) from 2020 to 2022. He is the first naval officer in charge of the International Monitoring Team (IMT) contingent from Brunei from 2012 to 2013.
