Our Lady of the Angels Academy is a historic Catholic school in rural Belle Prairie Township, near Little Falls, Minnesota. The school was built in 1911 and underwent expansions in 1931, 1951, and again in 1958. The academy closed in May of 1969 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 28, 2005, for its significance as a local example of the national Catholic school system. [2]

That church burned in 1914, and this Spanish Revival building, designed to resemble the Santa Maria Madalena church in the Azorean community of Madalena on the island of Pico. South Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Cuba in Allegany County, New York. The district consists of 12 acres (49,000 m2) and includes 48 contributing buildings. It encompasses the village of Cuba's most distinguished residential enclave. The structures date from about 1840 to about 1938-1939 and reflect a variety of popular architectural styles. The district consists of 37 residential properties dating from 1840 to 1940 and three churches : First Baptist and Christ Episcopal, 1871, and Our Lady of Angels Roman Catholic, 1926. The district begins at the First Baptist Church and ends at the Conrail underpass at the south end.

It was designed by noted Rochester architect Andrew Jackson Warner and is a French Romanesque Revival style brick cruciform plan church built in 1868. It features two slender towers with concave roofs, a recessed entrance inside a single-story protruding section, and a semi-circular stained-glass window.

St. Anthonys Catholic Church (Louisville, Kentucky) United States historic place

The former St. Anthony's Catholic Church is a redbrick historic Roman Catholic steepled church complex located at 2222-2238 West Market Street in Louisville, Kentucky. Designed by noted local architect William H. Redin in the Gothic Revival style of architecture, it was built in 1887. After a disastrous fire in 1939 which caused extensive damage to all buildings in the complex except the rectory to the left of the church, architect Walter C. Wagner, Sr. designed the reconstruction of the complex which was done by Skilton and Sullivan Construction Company. In 1978, the parish school was merged with St. Cecilia School and Our Lady of the Port Academy to form Community Catholic School on the St. Cecilia campus. On March 1, 1982, the complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places. In 2011, the Archdiocese of Louisville closed the church, merging its boundaries into those of the nearby Good Shepherd Parish.

Good Counsel Complex United States historic place

Good Counsel Complex, also known as Convent of the Sisters of the Divine Compassion, is a national historic district located at White Plains, Westchester County, New York. The district consists of 10 contributing buildings, including the separately listed Mapleton. In addition to Mapleton, contributing buildings in the complex includes the convent, chapel (1897), House of Nazareth (1891), cooking school / infirmary (1901-1902), heating plant / workshop (1898), Tilford House (1856), St. Ann's Cottage (1901), and carriage house / stable (1890). The buildings include regionally significant examples of Romanesque Revival and Mediterranean Revival inspired architecture. The buildings house the Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel.
