"Out of Control (Back for More)" is a song by Finnish DJ and record producer Darude. The song is a vocal edit of "Out of Control", an instrumental from his debut studio album Before the Storm . The edit was released on many re-releases of Before the Storm, and was included as the opening track on the 2001 special edition.

Contents

The song failed to reach number one in Finland, unlike his previous single "Feel the Beat", however it saw success regardless and charted internationally, reaching number 13 in the UK Singles Chart. [1]

Music video

A music video was filmed for "Out of Control (Back for More)". [2] The video was produced by Filmitalli and directed by Misko Iho. It was filmed in Helsinki at Yrjönkadun Uimahalli. [3] The video features female swimmers in a swimming pool, and also features Darude sitting in a chair under the water. The video ends with a reversed shot of Darude rising out of the pool. [4]

Toni-Ville Henrik Virtanen, better known by his stage name Darude, is a Finnish DJ and record producer from Eura, Satakunta. His music is characterised by its progressive/uplifting style. He started making music in 1995 and released the platinum-selling hit single "Sandstorm" in late 1999. His debut studio album, Before the Storm, was released on 18 September 2000, and sold 800,000 copies worldwide, earning Darude three Finnish Grammy Awards. The UK release once again omitted Ray Slijngaard's rap, which lasted for 16 bars three times through, but did include some of the vocals from Anita Doth, with the "mocking chorus echoes" being abandoned as only Ray's part remains, thus leaving Anita's sole vocals as "disembodied whispers" during the middle eight. The single experienced chart success in many European countries, including Finland, where it topped the chart. The Dutch leading afternoon radio program on national pop outlet Radio 3 FM/Hilversum renamed itself "The Magic Friend", after the single.
