Padmanava College of Engineering (PCE), Rourkela was established in academic year 1999-2000 to impart degree courses in engineering under the Padmanva Educational Trust, Bhubaneswar. The prime objective of the trust has been the promotion of facilities of technical education for people of west Odisha and around.

The institute is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) with ISO 9001:2000 certification. [2]

The institute is now functioning in the campus of sector 4, Rourkela. The new campus of the college is under construction near sector 9.

Riphah International University Private University in Pakistan

Riphah International University is a private university in Pakistan, chartered by the Federal Government of Pakistan in 2002. The university was established with the aim of producing professionals with Islamic moral and ethical values. Majhighariani Institute of Technology and Science is located in Rayagada, Odisha, India. It was started in 1999 by the Basantdevi Charitable Trust. Its name came from the Goddess Majhighariani, deity of Rayagada. The college was approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the government of Orissa. Damodar Acharya is an Indian engineer and educationist. He served as the director of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur from July 2007 to 30 June 2012. The government nominated Prof Acharya as a director on the central board of the Reserve Bank of India in October 2012.

S.K.D.A.V. Government Polytechnic is a state government run co-education diploma engineering college located in Basanti Colony of city Rourkela. In the beginning of its inception the Institute was named as S.K.D.A.V Government Polytechnic for Women's which was established in the year 1967 by Mrs. Sushilavati Khosla with the help of D.A.V Trust.
