Paradises, stylized as PARADISES was a Japanese alternative idol girl group formed in 2020 after the split of Gang Parade. [1] The group ceased activities as Paradises and resumed activities as Gang Parade at the beginning of 2022.

History

2020: Formation and Paradises

Following the announcement of Saki Kamiya's graduation from Gang Parade, [2] it was announced that Gang Parade would split into two groups: Go to the Beds, consisting of Miki Yamamachi, Yua Yumeno, Can GP Maika, Yui Ga Dockson and Coco Partin Coco, and Paradises, consisting of Yuka Terashima, Usagi Tsukino, Naruhaworld. They released the split EP, G/P, consisting of three songs per group and Saki Kamiya's final solo song on April 1, 2020. [1] Kila May joined the group on May 22. They released their eponymous debut album on July 22. [3] On December 26, Utauuta joined the group and Usagi Tsukino went on a six-month hiatus. [4]

2021–2022: Compilation albums, Paradises Return, line-up swap and return to Gang Parade

On January 30, 2021, the group released the compilation album, Paradises (Refresh Ver.), which featured all of their previous songs with the addition of new member Utauuta and the exception of Usagi Tsukino who was on hiatus at the time. [5] They released their first solo EP, Paradises Return, on March 3. [6] On March 27, it was announced that a new member, Ca Non, would join the group. She made her first appearance as a member on April 28. On July 1, Usagi Tsukino returned from her six-month hiatus and a second compilation album, Paradises (Free Ver.), was released which featured all of the group's previous songs with all current Paradises members present. [7] On July 9, Utauuta left the group due to difference in opinion of the direction the group was going in. [8] They released their first single, "Daiji na Uta" (大事な歌), on July 28. [9] On October 2, it was announced that all members of Paradises and Go to the Beds would immediately swap groups. They released a second split EP, G⇔P, on December 15. [10] On January 2, 2022, Paradises ceased activities and returned to Gang Parade. [11]

Bis, also known as Brand-new idol Society, is a Japanese alternative idol girl group that was founded in 2010 by leader Pour Lui following a brief solo career. With music, performances and videos that are extremely different from the typical idol group, Bis have come to be known as alternative idols. They disbanded at Yokohama Arena on July 8, 2014. Exactly two years after their disbandment on July 8, 2016, Pour Lui, Kenta Matsukuma and Junnosuke Watanabe announced that Bis would reform under a new lineup including Pour Lui, and that auditions were going to be held. On March 30, 2019, Bis announced that they would disband at the end of their "Are You Ready To Go?" tour. Gang Parade (ギャングパレード), stylized as GANG PARADE is a Japanese alternative idol girl group formed in 2014. In 2020, Gang Parade split into two groups: Go to the Beds and Paradises. They resumed activities in 2022.

ExWhyZ, formerly known as Empire, is a Japanese alternative idol girl group formed between WACK and Avex Trax in 2017. They have released six studio albums, five EPs, and five singles since their formation. They re-branded to ExWhyZ in 2022 and re-debuted under EMI Records.

Mameshiba no Taigun (豆柴の大群), stylized as MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN, was a Japanese alternative idol girl group formed through the reality survival show Monster Idol which featured on TBS Television's variety show Wednesday's Downtown in 2019. They debuted on December 19, 2019, with "Restart". They ceased activities as Mameshiba no Taigun in January 2024 after merging with Tonai Bousho to form Mameshiba no Taigun Tonai Bousho a.k.a. MonsterIdol.

Pedro is a Japanese rock band led by vocalist and bassist Ayuni D. Formed in 2018 as Ayuni D's solo project outside of Bish, she is currently supported by Hisako Tabuchi of Number Girl on guitar and Yumao of hitorie on drums. They released their debut EP in September 2018 and continued to release music until the end of 2021. Following a one and a half year hiatus, Pedro resumed activities in mid-2023 after Bish disbanded. They have released four studio albums, two EPs, and three singles.

Migma Shelter, is a Japanese alternative idol girl group that formed in 2017. They released their debut single, "Svaha Eraser", on July 15, 2017. They went on indefinite hiatus after their final concert on June 2, 2024.
