Pedro (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese rock band led by vocalist and bassist Ayuni D. Formed in 2018 as Ayuni D's solo project outside of Bish, [2] [3] she is currently supported by Hisako Tabuchi of Number Girl on guitar and Yumao of hitorie on drums. They released their debut EP in September 2018 and continued to release music until the end of 2021. Following a one and a half year hiatus, Pedro resumed activities in mid-2023 after Bish disbanded. They have released four studio albums, two EPs, and three singles.
In September 2018, WACK announced that Ayuni D would launch a solo project with Avex Trax under the name Pedro. Ayuni D, who plays bass and provides the vocals, was joined by former Number Girl member Hisako Tabuchi on guitar and Shōta Mōhri on drums. [3] Their debut EP, Zoozoosea, was released on September 19, 2018. [4]
In March 2019, it was announced the Pedro had signed with the EMI Records division of Universal Music Japan. Their first album, Thumb Sucker, was released on August 28. [5]
On March 6, 2020, a re-recording of Zoozoosea, titled Super Zoozoosea, was released digitally. [6] They released their second EP, Shōdō Ningen Club (衝動人間倶楽部), on April 29. [7] Followed by their first single, "Konaide World End" (来ないでワールドエンド) on August 12. [8] Their second album, Roman (浪漫), was released on August 26. [9]
They released their second single, "Tokyo" (東京), on February 10, 2021. [10] On February 26, the digital single, "Teinei na Kurashi" (丁寧な暮らし), was released, [11] followed by another digital single, "Natsu" (夏), on August 6. [12] They released their third album, Gojitsu Aratamete Ukagaimasu (後日改めて伺います), on November 17. [13] Pedro went on an indefinite hiatus on December 22, after their final concert at Yokohama Arena. A digital single, "Sasurahi" (さすらひ), was released on December 27, five days after they ceased acitivies. [14]
On June 30, 2023, after the disbandment of Bish, Pedro announced that they would resume activities outside of WACK under Ayuni D's newly established company, Roman Planet. Hisako Tabuchi remained a member of the band, while Yumao of Hitorie replaced Shōta Mōhri on drums. They released a reissue of their third album, which was renamed Gojitsu Aratamete Ukagaimashita (後日改めて伺いました), on July 5. [15] On August 18, a re-recording of their song "Roman" (浪漫) was released digitally. [16] They released their third single, "Tonde Yuke" (飛んでゆけ), on August 23. [17] Their fourth album, Omomuku Mama ni I no Muku Mama ni (赴くままに、胃の向くままに), was released on November 29. [18]

Bis, also known as Brand-new idol Society, is a Japanese alternative idol girl group that was founded in 2010 by leader Pour Lui following a brief solo career. With music, performances and videos that are extremely different from the typical idol group, Bis have come to be known as alternative idols. They disbanded at Yokohama Arena on July 8, 2014. Exactly two years after their disbandment on July 8, 2016, Pour Lui, Kenta Matsukuma and Junnosuke Watanabe announced that Bis would reform under a new lineup including Pour Lui, and that auditions were going to be held. On March 30, 2019, Bis announced that they would disband at the end of their "Are You Ready To Go?" tour. On the same day, Watanabe announced that he would be holding closed auditions for a third generation of Bis, and the new and current members officially debuted at Tokyo Idol Festival on August 4, 2019.

WACK is a Japanese music production company specialising in alternative idols. The company was founded by Junnosuke Watanabe in 2014, following the first disbandment of Bis and the formation of Pla2me.
Honami "Amy" Furuhara, known professionally as Aaamyyy, is a Japanese electronic musician. Originally a member of electronic pop groups Go Retro and Eimie, Furuhara began working with the psychedelic rock band Tempalay from 2015, and starting a solo career in 2017.
Mameshiba no Taigun (豆柴の大群), stylized as MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN, was a Japanese alternative idol girl group formed through the reality survival show Monster Idol which featured on TBS Television's variety show Wednesday's Downtown in 2019. They debuted on December 19, 2019, with "Restart". They ceased activities as Mameshiba no Taigun in January 2024 after merging with Tonai Bousho to form Mameshiba no Taigun Tonai Bousho a.k.a. Yoasobi is a Japanese pop duo formed in 2019. It consists of musician and record producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta, under the moniker Ikura. With the slogan "novel into music", the duo originally released songs based on selected short stories posted on Monogatary.com, a social media website for creative writing operated by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Sources later also come from various media like stories written by professional authors, books, letters, plays, etc.
Start (スタート) is the debut studio album from Japanese girl group Mameshiba no Taigun. It was pre-released on June 3, 2020, and officially released on June 10, 2020 by Tower Records. "Suki da" is a song by Japanese duo Yoasobi from their EPs Hajimete no – EP and The Book 3 (2023). It was released on May 30, 2022, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan, as the second single from the short story collection project Hajimete no following "Mr." Based on the short story Hikari no Tane written by 135th Naoki Prize-winning Eto Mori, the song depicts a high school girl's fourth confession to her crush and efforts to erase her past confessions through time travel. "Suki da" peaked at number 23 on the Oricon Combined Singles Chart and number eight on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. The accompanying music video, directed by Kazuaki Seki, was uploaded on November 13.
ZOC, formerly known as Metamuse, is a Japanese alternative idol girl group that formed in September 2018. They released their debut single, "Family Name", on April 30, 2019. On July 7, 2022, the group changed its name to Metamuse, before reverting back to ZOC on November 11, 2023.
