Paralympic Council Malaysia, (Malay : Majlis Paralimpik Malaysia, PCM or MPM) is the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Malaysia. The council was established on 18 May 1989 as the Malaysian Disabled Sports Council (Majlis Sukan Orang Cacat Malaysia). In 1996, it was renamed as Malaysian Paralympic Council [2] and later as Paralympic Council of Malaysia. [3] The Paralympic Council of Malaysia is currently headquartered at the Malaysia Paralympic Sports Excellence Centre (Malay : Pusat Kecemerlangan Sukan Paralimpik Malaysia, MPSEC or PKSPM). [4]

The Sukma Games is a biennial national multi-sport event involving young athletes from Malaysian 13 member states and the Federal territory. The games is regulated by the National Sports Council of Malaysia, the state sports council of the respective member states, the Olympic Council of Malaysia and the National Sports association of the games respective sporting event. The designer of this logo was Mr. Anuar bin Dan in 1986.
Dato' Ng Boon Bee was a Malaysian badminton player who excelled from the 1960s through the early 1970s. His success in doubles earned him recognition as one of greatest doubles players in badminton history.

Malaysia made its Paralympic Games début at the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, with a delegation of three athletes, all of whom competed in both track and field and weightlifting. The country was then absent for three consecutive editions of the Summer Paralympics, before making its return at the 1988 Games in Seoul. Malaysia has participated in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics, but has never entered the Winter Paralympics.

Saujana Asahan National Sports Council Complex is a sports and recreation centre located in the town of Pekan Asahan in Jasin District in the Malaysian state of Malacca owned by the National Sports Council of Malaysia (NSC). It began construction on 8 November 2000 and completed on 8 February 2002. The centre was built to organise motivational and team building programmes, Seminars and Indoor and Outdoor activities.
The 2017 ASEAN Para Games, officially known as the 9th ASEAN Para Games, was a Southeast Asian disabled multi-sport event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 17 days after the 2017 Southeast Asian Games from 17 to 23 September 2017. This was the third time Malaysia host the ASEAN Para Games and its first time since 2009. Previously, Malaysia also hosted the inaugural games in 2001.
Malaysia sent athletes to the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 September to 18 September 2016. The country qualified athletes in archery, cycling, sailing, wheelchair tennis, athletics and swimming. Dr Ang Kean Koo was the chef de mission of the Malaysian delegation.
The 2001 ASEAN Para Games, officially known as the 1st ASEAN Para Games, was a Southeast Asian disabled multi-sport event held a month after the 2001 Southeast Asian Games. It was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 26 to 29 October 2001. This ASEAN Para Games was the first edition held in history for Southeast Asia countries and also the first edition hosted by Malaysia.
Muhammad Ziyad bin Zolkefli is a Paralympic athlete from Malaysia who competes in T20 classification shot put events. He is the current world record holder in his event. Zolkefli represented Malaysia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, where he won the bronze medal in the shot put. As well as Paralympic success, Muhammad Ziyad has won both the World Championship and Asian Para Games titles in his sport, in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

Salleh Ibrahim was a Malaysian footballer. A prison officer by profession, Salleh represented Prison Department, Kelantan FA, Perak FA and Singapore FA during his football career. He also played for Malaysian national team, and competed in the men's tournament at the 1972 Summer Olympics, scoring in the 3–0 win against the United States in the group stage.

Malaysia competed in the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan from 24 August to 5 September 2021 which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2024 Sukma Games, officially known as the 21st Sukma Games is a multi-sport event that will be held in Sarawak. Johor was supposed to host the 20th edition of the Games in July 2020, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the 20th edition took over by the National Sports Council (NSC) in September 2022. This will be Sarawak's third time to host the Sukma Games since its first time in 1990, and second time in 2016.
The National Sports Council of Malaysia, is a government agency and statutory body under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Government of Malaysia which governs the sporting activities in Malaysia. It was established under National Sports Council of Malaysia Act 1971 and launched by the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, Abdul Razak Hussein on 21 February 1972.
