Parker Wolfe (born July 27, 2003) is an American middle and long-distance runner, who competes for the North Carolina Tar Heels. [3]
In high school, Wolfe was a multiple time state champion for Cherry Creek High School. He also won the 2020 RunningLane National Championships in 14:26.94. [1] He was also awarded the 2021 National Gatorade Player of the Year for cross country. [2]
He now competes for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his freshman year in 2021, he placed 28th at the NCAA Division I cross country championships, followed by a ninth-place finish the following year. In 2023, he set a school record in the indoor 5000 meters in a time of 13:19.73. He finished fifth in the same event at both the indoor and outdoor national championships. [1] In December 2023, he broke his own school record for the indoor 5k at Boston with a time of 13:13.61. In March 2024, he finished second to Nico Young in both the 3000 and 5000 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships. In June, he won his first national title, outkicking Ky Robinson and Nico Young to take the 5000 meters in a time of 13:54.43. [4] [5] At the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials, Wolfe placed third in the 5,000 m behind Grant Fisher and Abdihamid Nur in 13:10.75. However, Wolfe lacked a sufficient time or world ranking to compete at the Olympics. [6]
In October of 2024, Wolfe signed an NIL dea l with Nike along side fellow Tar Heel teammate Ethan Strand. [7]

Meseret Defar Tola is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes chiefly in the 3,000 metres and 5,000 metres events. She has won medals at top-tier international competitions including Olympic and World Championship gold medals over 5,000 metres. She broke the world record in the event in 2006, broke it again in 2007 and held it until 2008, when fellow Ethiopian Tirunesh Dibaba beat her time.

Galen Rupp is an American long-distance runner. He competed in the Summer Olympics in 2008 in Beijing, 2012 in London, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro and 2021 in Tokyo. He won the silver medal in the men's 10,000 meters in London and the bronze medal in the men's marathon in Rio de Janeiro. Rupp competed for the University of Oregon and trained under Alberto Salazar as a member of the Nike Oregon Project. He won the 2017 Chicago Marathon, becoming the first American to do so since Khalid Khannouchi in 2002. Rupp won the marathon at the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials in Atlanta with a time of 2:09:20, and qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, where he finished eighth.
Chris Derrick is an American distance runner who won 3 consecutive US Cross Country Championships in 2013–15. He attended Stanford University, where he earned 14 All-American honors and holds an American junior record in the 5000 meters.
Evan Reese Jager is an American middle- and long-distance runner who specializes in the 3000 metres steeplechase. In his speciality event, he won a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and a bronze at the 2017 World Championships. Jager is the current NACAC area record holder in the event with a time of 8:00.45. He is sponsored by Nike and is coached by Jerry Schumacher of the Bowerman Track Club.
