Anna Rohrer (born February 24, 1997) is an American long-distance runner and former student-athlete at the University of Notre Dame. She won four high school national championships and was named the Foot Locker female cross country athlete of the year in 2015.

High school

Rohrer attended Mishawaka High School, in Mishawaka, Indiana, where she was a star track and cross country athlete.

Rohrer won the 2012 5,000 m Foot Locker Cross Country Championships, in a time of 17:25 [1] [2] and the 2014 event in 17:13. [3] [4]

Rohrer received her 2014–15 Cross Country Gatorade Player of the Year awards from the University of Notre Dame alumnus and USA Track & Field national champion, Molly Huddle. [5] [6]

Rohrer won the 2014 NBNO 5000 title in a time of 16:10 at New Balance Outdoor Nationals. [7] [8] [9]

Rohrer also won her fourth national title at the 2014 New Balance Indoor Nationals, setting an indoor record of 16:10.79 in the girls 5,000 meter race. [10] [11]

Rohrer ran 17:08.8 to win the 2014 IHSAA State Cross Country Championship, 17:13.2 to win the 2012 IHSAA State Cross Country Championship. In the 2015 IHSAA State Track and Field Championship, she ran 4:52.09 to win the 1600m title, and 10:11.20 to win the 3200m title at the. She ran 10:14.43 to win the 3200m title at the 2014 IHSAA State Track and Field Championship, ran 10:20.68 to win the 3200m title at the 2013 IHSAA State Track and Field Championship, and as a freshman, ran 11:11.04 to place 17th in the 3200m at the 2012 IHSAA State Track and Field Championship. Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood presented Rohrer with a key to the city, proclaiming December 8, 2012, Anna Rohrer National Champion Day. [13]

Rohrer attends University of Notre Dame. [14] [15]

In 2017, Rohrer won ACC Outdoor Championship titles at 5,000 and 10,000 meters. [16]

On June 7, 2018, Rohrer finished sixth in the NCAA Division I Outdoors 10,000 meters, although her time was under the existing 30-year-old event record. [17]

Rohrer placed 10th in 2018 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships leading the Notre Dame Fighting Irish women's cross country to an 8th-place team finish.

On June 6, 2019, Rohrer repeated her 6th-place finish in the 10,000 meters at 2019 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

As of June 2019, Rohrer is a 5-time Atlantic Coast Conference champion, 8-time USTFCCCA NCAA Division I First and Second Team All-American.

In April 2017, she ran a world-leading 31:58.99 to win the 10,000m at the Stanford Invitational, earning USA Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors. [23]

Jordan Melissa Hasay is an American distance runner. She grew up in Arroyo Grande, California, and attended Mission College Preparatory High School in San Luis Obispo. She was unanimously selected 2008 Girls High School Athlete of the Year by the voting panel at Track and Field News. In March 2009, she became the ninth high school athlete and third woman on the cover of Track and Field News magazine. She attended the University of Oregon, where she studied business administration and competed on the cross country and track and field teams earning 18 All-American honors, 2011 Mile and 3,000 meters NCAA titles. Her father was a high school basketball star in Pennsylvania, and her mother was a national level swimmer in her native England. Jordan Hasay is no longer coached by Alberto Salazar due to his suspension.

The Eastbay-Foot Locker Cross Country Championships are a series of annual cross country running races held in various regions of the United States to determine the premier cross country runner in various age groups, but mainly serves to find the best prep cross country athlete in the country. The event began in 1979 by the F. W. Woolworth Company, which initially branded it as the Kinney Cross Country Championships, at the Morley Field Sports Complex in Balboa Park, San Diego, California before Woolworth rebranded the event in 1993 to the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships for Woolworth's sporting goods company. For most people associated with the sport, the name was just shortened to Foot Locker or even abbreviated in agate results as FL. In 2021 the event was rebranded again as the Eastbay Cross Country Championships after the Foot Locker owned company. The event is the longest-running national cross country race for high school students.

German Fernandez is a retired American professional runner from Riverbank, California, known for his performance in high school and collegiate cross country and track and field. Later he trained under Jerry Schumacher for the Bowerman Track Club. He is most well known for running the California Cross Country State Meet course record (14:24), as well as running a new American high-school record, 8:34.40 for two miles, at the 2008 Nike Outdoor Nationals championship. He also holds the World Junior Indoor Mile record at 3:55.02. A local meet in Riverbank, California, the German Fernandez Distance Carnival, is named after him.

Skylar Kierra Diggins-Smith is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Mercury in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Diggins was drafted third overall by the Tulsa Shock in the 2013 WNBA draft. In high school, she was the National Gatorade Player of the Year and the Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year. She played college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and led the team to three consecutive Final Fours and two consecutive NCAA championship appearances. She finished her Notre Dame career ranked first in points and steals, second in assists, and as a two-time winner of the Nancy Lieberman Award as the top point guard in the nation.

Edward Cheserek is a Kenyan distance runner. He is a 17-time NCAA champion collegiate distance runner for the University of Oregon. Cheserek was the most highly recruited high school distance runner in the nation out of Saint Benedict's Preparatory School in New Jersey where he was named the Gatorade 2012-2013 National Cross Country Runner of the Year. In 2013, Cheserek became the first freshman in Oregon history to win the NCAA National Cross Country Championships. Cheserek repeated this feat in his sophomore and junior years at Oregon before coming in third in the race in 2016 during his senior year. In total, Cheserek has 17 NCAA National Titles, including two indoor distance medley relays and one cross-country team title.

Grant Fisher is a Canadian-born American professional middle- and long-distance runner. He holds the American national records for both the 5,000 meters (12:46.96) and the 10,000 meters (26:33.84.) He placed fifth in the 10,000 meters at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and fourth at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. Fisher holds North American records in the 3000 meters, 5000 m and 10,000 m, all set in 2022.

Colleen Quigley is an American middle-distance runner, steeplechase specialist and an Olympian from St. Louis, Missouri. She is the current World Record holder in the 4x1500 meters relay. Competing in the 3000 meters steeplechase, she finished 8th at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and 12th at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing. She was the 2019 US National Indoor Champion in the one-mile event running 4:29.47 to capture the title and was the 2015 NCAA Champion in the 3000 meters steeplechase. In 2023, Quigley announced that she would start competing in triathlon events, but that she still plans to race track and field through 2024.

Emily Sisson is an American distance runner who holds the North American record in the marathon, set Oct. 9, 2022, at the 2022 Chicago Marathon, where she ran 2:18:29 to finish second, becoming only the second non-African-born woman to break 2:19. She also previously owned the American record in the half marathon.

He committed to the University of Oregon on November 12, 2015 but instead decided to pursue a professional career by signing a 10-year contract with Adidas on July 8, 2016.

At the 400m dash, she set an all-time world record at the age of 12 running 54.57 before becoming the fastest American 400m high school runner in the last 20 years. She gained 16 national titles from Jr Olympic and Youth National meets. Irby has won silver medals in the event at both the 2015 World Youth Championships and the 2016 World Junior Championships.

Erin Finn is a female long-distance runner from the United States. She competed in the 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – Junior women's race placing 34th in 20:03.

Chad Noelle is an American professional middle distance runner. He was the NCAA Champion at 1500m at the 2015 NCAA Championship while competing for Oklahoma State University. He later competed at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Molly Seidel is an American long distance runner. Seidel represented the United States at the Great Edinburgh Cross Country in 2012, 2013, and 2018. In her first-ever marathon, Seidel placed second at the 2020 U.S. Marathon Olympic Trials. Later, she went on to win the bronze medal in her third career marathon at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. While competing for the University of New Mexico, Kelati won the 2019 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. In June 2021, she became a U.S. citizen and began competing as an American. She runs professionally for Under Armour on the group Dark Sky Distance.
