History

A post office was established at Parkers Settlement in 1851, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1902. [3]

The U.S. Census Bureau began designating Parkers Settlement as a CDP in the 2010 U.S. Census. [4]

Geography

Parkers Settlement is located near the end of the Diamond Avenue stretch of Indiana 66.

Education

It is within the Metropolitan School District of North Posey County, [5] which operates North Posey High School.
