Seán Doherty is a former Gaelic football manager and player. He played football with his local club Ballyboden Wanderers, Ballyboden St Enda's and St Anne's and was a senior member of the Dublin county team throughout the 1970s. Doherty captained Dublin to the All-Ireland title in 1974. He later served as joint-manager of the team with Gerry McCaul and Tony Hempenstall for one season in 1989.
Mick Lyons is a former Gaelic footballer who played for Summerhill and the Meath county team. He won two All-Ireland medals with Meath in 1987 and 1988 and has also won two All Star awards. He won the Meath Senior Football Championship with Summerhill in 1986. He has generally played at the full-back position for his county.
Darren Fay is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Meath county team. He is regarded as the latest in a long line of accomplished Meath full-backs, following the likes of Mick Lyons, Jack Quinn, Paddy O'Brien and Tommy "The Boiler" McGuinness. He plays club football for Trim. He came to prominence in 1996 when he won an All-Ireland senior medal in his first season as a Meath regular first team player. In 1999 he won his second All-Ireland medal. He is also the holder of 3 Leinster Senior medals. Fay has won 3 All Star awards. For the 2006 season Fay made himself unavailable for the Meath team but he returned to the Meath panel for the 2007 season. On 23 July 2008 Fay confirmed his retirement after a defeat to Limerick.
John McDermott is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Meath county team. He had much success playing inter-county football in the 1990s on the Meath teams managed by Sean Boylan. For Meath he played in the midfield position.

At underage level McCartan won Ulster Minor and All-Ireland Minor Football Championship medals. He also won two All Star awards during his career.
