The Permanent Presidential Music Commission (PPMC) of Kenya was a government Commission
The Commission was established in 1988 to promote the development and practice of music and dance; the development of the Kenyan music industry and to preserve Kenyan musical arts and expression. [1]
In 2008, the Ministry of State for Public Service transformed the Commission into the Department of Music under the Ministry of State for National Heritage and Culture [2]
After independence in 1966, Guyana sought an influential role in international affairs, particularly among Third World and non-aligned nations. It served twice on the UN Security Council. Former Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Attorney General Mohamed Shahabuddeen served a 9-year term on the International Court of Justice (1987–96).
Kenya maintains relations with various countries around the world. Its closest ties are with its fellow Swahili-speaking neighbors in the African Great Lakes region. Swahili speaking neighbours mainly include countries in the East African Community such as Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. There's also the DRC which has a significant Swahili speaking population.
Eswatini is a member of the United Nations, the Commonwealth of Nations, the African Union, the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, and the Southern African Development Community. Currently, the Kingdom of Eswatini maintains 11 embassies along with 15 consulates and other representations around the world, while there are five embassies in Eswatini as well as 14 consulates and other representations.
John Njoroge Michuki was a Kenyan politician and businessman. He was born at Muguru, village, Iyego Location, Kangema Division in Murang’a District. He was educated in Kenya and abroad. Michuki emerged as one of the prominent and long-serving civil servants and politicians as well as a businessman in Kenya. Michuki served Kenya in various capacities, including Permanent Secretary in the Finance Ministry, Chairman of the Kenya Commercial Bank, Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister. He was serving his 4th five-year term as a Member of Parliament for Kangema Constituency. Michuki had a reputation as a "ruthless" and efficient manager, and was widely acknowledged as among the best performing ministers in President Kibaki's Government. He was serving as the Minister for Environment and National Resources at the time of his death.
Marsabit County is a county of Kenya. Covering a surface area of 66.923,1 square kilometres Marsabit is the largest county in Kenya. Its capital is Marsabit and its largest town Moyale. According to the 2019 census, the county has a population of 459,785. It is bordered to the North by Ethiopia, to the West by Turkana County to the South by Samburu County and Isiolo County, and to the East by Wajir County.
Kenya–Turkey relations are bilateral relations between Kenya and Turkey. Turkey has an embassy in Nairobi which was opened in 1968. Kenya has an embassy in Ankara.
The Planning Commission is a financial and public policy development institution of the Government of Pakistan. The Commission comes under Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms. The Planning Commission undertakes research studies and state policy development initiatives for the growth of national economy and the expansion of the public and state infrastructure of the country in tandem with the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
Kenya–Pakistan relations entails the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kenya. Both countries are members of the Commonwealth of Nations.
Baringo East Constituency was a former electoral constituency in Kenya. It was one of three constituencies in Baringo District, Rift Valley Province. The constituency was established for the 1963 elections. The constituency had nine wards, all electing councillors for the Baringo County Council.
Geothermal power is very cost-effective in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, East Africa. As of 2019, Kenya has 690 MW of installed geothermal capacity. Kenya was the first African country to build geothermal energy sources. The Kenya Electricity Generating Company, which is 74% state-owned, has built three plants to exploit the Olkaria geothermal resource, Olkaria I, Olkaria II and Olkaria IV, Olkaria V, 75 MW Wellhead generation plants, with a third private plant Olkaria III. Additionally, a pilot wellhead plant of 2.5 MW has been commissioned at Eburru and two small scale plants have been built by the Oserian Development Company to power their rose farm facilities with a total of 4 MW.
The 'Kenya Economic Stimulus Program was a spending plan initiated by the Government of Kenya to boost economic growth and lead the Kenyan economy out of a recession at the end of the first decade of the 21st century. It was introduced in the 2009/2010 Budget Speech in parliament by Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta. Its aim was to jumpstart the Kenyan economy towards long term growth and development, after the 2007/2008 post election violence that affected the Kenyan economy. Other economic problems included prolonged drought, a rally in oil prices and food prices, and the effects of the 2008/09 global economic crisis. The stimulus was a response to the decline in the economic growth rate from 7.1% in 2007 to 1.7% in 2009.
In 2017, the Kenya Nuclear Electrification Board (Kneb) estimated that a 1,000 MW nuclear plant could be operational by 2027 and cost Ksh500-600 billion, to be located near a large body of water, such as the Indian Ocean, Lake Victoria or Lake Turkana.
The Commission on Administrative Justice of Kenya also known as The Office of the Ombudsman is a government Commission established under the Commission on Administrative Justice Act 2011 pursuant to Article 59 (4) of the Constitution of Kenya.
The renewable energy sector in Kenya is among the most active in Africa. In Kenya, investment grew from virtually zero in 2009 to US$1.3 billion in 2010 across technologies such as wind, geothermal, small-scale hydro and biofuels. This is not saying that Kenya was never active in the renewable energy sector. Kenya is Africa's first geothermal power producer and leads Africa in the number of solar power systems installed per capita. It is still the largest producer of geothermal power in Africa today at 200 MW with only one other African country producing geothermal power, Ethiopia.In 2011, Kenya was also the first country in Africa to open a carbon exchange.
The Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage was established through the Executive Order No. 2 “Organization of the Government of the Republic of Kenya dated May 2013”.It comprises departments of Sports, Office of the Sports Registrar, Culture, Permanent Presidential Music Commission, Kenya National Archives and Documentation Services, Library Services, Records Management, The Arts Services.
Francis Xavier Ole Kaparo EGH is the Commission Chairman, the NCIC since August 2014 to October 2019. He has served the Government and the people of Kenya in different capacities and was the second longest serving Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya, having served from 1993 to 2008. He was the Member of Parliament for Laikipia East from 1988 to 1992. Hon. Kaparo has served as an Assistant Minister in a number of government ministries. These include the Ministry for National Guidance and Political Affairs (1988–1989); the Ministry for Supplies and Marketing (1989–1990) and the Ministry for Labour (1990–1991) and the Minister for Industry Between 1991 and 1993.
