Petrow (Persian : پطرو‎, also Romanized as Peţrow, Patrow, Paţrū, Peţrāv, and Petroo)^[1] is a village in Safaiyeh Rural District, in the Central District of Zaveh County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,470, in 342 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Safaiyeh Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Zaveh County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 12,711, in 2,936 families. The rural district has 14 villages.
