The conspiracy thriller is a subgenre of thriller fiction. The protagonists of conspiracy thrillers are often journalists or amateur investigators who find themselves pulling on a small thread which unravels a vast conspiracy that ultimately goes "all the way to the top." The complexities of historical fact are recast as a morality play in which bad people cause bad events, and good people identify and defeat them. Conspiracies are often played out as "man-in-peril" stories, or yield quest narratives similar to those found in whodunits and detective stories.
Baazigar (transl. Gambler) is a 1993 Indian Hindi-language romantic thriller film directed by Abbas–Mustan and produced by Venus Movies. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles, while Siddharth, Shilpa Shetty, Dalip Tahil, and Johnny Lever appear in supporting roles, with Raakhee in a special appearance. Its soundtrack was composed by Anu Malik. An unofficial remake of the 1991 Hollywood film A Kiss Before Dying, the film is about a young man seeking to avenge the fall of his family.
Patthar Ke Phool is an Indian 1991 Hindi-language action film directed by Anant Balani, produced by G. P. Sippy, written by Salim Khan, and edited by Deepak Sehgal. It stars Salman Khan as a police officer opposite debutant Raveena Tandon.
Soldier is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Abbas–Mustan starring Raakhee, Bobby Deol, Preity Zinta in lead roles. This was the first of several collaborations between Abbas–Mustan and Deol.
Ek Duuje Ke Liye is a 1981 Indian Hindi romantic tragedy film directed by K. Balachander. A remake of Balachander's Telugu film Maro Charitra, it stars Kamal Haasan and Rati Agnihotri as a pair of lovers from different families who oppose their relationship, and go to dire lengths to break them apart. It features Madhavi and Rakesh Bedi in supporting roles.
Dalip Tahil is an Indian film, television and theatre actor. He is best known for his work in Baazigar (1993), Raja (1995), Hum hai rahi pyar ke (1993) and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), Pyaar Ki Miss Call (2009) along with actor Gaurav Prateek. In the UK, he appeared in the BBC soap opera EastEnders as Dan Ferreira, the head of the Ferreira family, from June to December 2003.
Yeh Dillagi is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film directed by Naresh Malhotra and produced by Yash Chopra for his production company Yash Raj Films. Based on the 1954 American film Sabrina, its story revolves on two brothers who fall in love with their family driver's daughter, Sapna (Kajol), a successful model.
Kalicharan is a 1976 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Subhash Ghai, starring Shatrughan Sinha, Reena Roy, Premnath, Ajit, Madan Puri and Danny Denzongpa. The film became a box office hit. The film was the directorial debut of Subhash Ghai and was the breakthrough role for stars Shatrughan Sinha and Reena Roy. It was later remade into the Telugu film Khaidi Kalidasu (1977), the Kannada film Kaalinga (1980), the Tamil film Sangili (1982) and the Malayalam film Pathamudayam (1985).

Awaaz is a 1984 Hindi action crime film directed by Shakti Samanta with Rajesh Khanna in the lead role and supported by Jaya Prada, Rakesh Roshan, Suresh Oberoi, Supriya Pathak, Iftekar, Prem Chopra, Madan Puri and Amrish Puri. The film explores the reality of sensational nature of news and mass media and political nexus.
Nana Palshikar was an Indian actor who appeared in over 80 Hindi films. He made his film debut in 1935 with Dhuwandhar, and went on to play character roles in both Hindi mainstream and arthouse films. He was also cast in small parts in a few international productions such as Maya (1966), The Guru (1969) and Gandhi (1982). Palshikar was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor twice, in 1962 and 1965. He was recognised with an award in the same category by the Bengal Film Journalists' Association in 1965.
Break Ke Baad is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Danish Aslam and starring Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan. Shahana Goswami and Yudhishtr Urs play siblings while Sharmila Tagore, Navin Nischol, and Lillete Dubey have supporting roles. The major part of the film was shot in Mauritius. The film is produced by Kunal Kohli under the banner of Kunal Kohli Productions. The music for the film has been composed by Vishal–Shekhar with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. This is the first time that Vishal–Shekhar and Prasoon have worked together on a film soundtrack. The music was released on 15 October 2010 to mixed reviews.

Teri Meherbaniyan is a 1985 Indian Hindi film directed by Vijay Reddy and produced by K.C. Bokadia. Dog Brownie played a pivotal role while Jackie Shroff and Poonam Dhillon played the lead roles. The movie is a remake of director's own 1984 Kannada film Thaliya Bhagya starring Shankar Nag which had also been remade in Telugu as Nammina Bantu, in Malayalam as Ithente Neethi and in Tamil as Nandri.

Seshagiri Rao under the Padmalaya Studios banner and presented by Krishna. The film is a remake of the Telugu movie Devudu Chesina Manushulu (1973).
HIT: The First Case is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language thriller film written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, being a remake of his 2020 Telugu film of the same name. The film is produced by Dil Raju Production and T-Series. It stars Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra. It was released on 15 July 2022.
