Nationale is a World Cup men's speed ski course in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, opened in 1940. [1] [2] [3]
They hosted the Alpine World Ski Championships in 1987, with Swiss skiers Pirmin Zurbriggen, Maria Walliser, Erika Hess and Peter Müller who took 8 of 10 available gold medals, dominating in front of the home crowd.
Not to be confused with other two nearby ski courses (all three hosting World Championships 1987); the right next "Mont Lachaux" women's downhill course and "Chetzeron" which is located away in Crans village. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]
The women's World Cup debut was held in 1977 with downhill, slalom and combined.
The men's World Cup events on this slope premiered in 1979 with slalom. [9]
