Poinsett Colony is a Hutterite colony [4] and census-designated place (CDP) in Hamlin County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 5 at the 2020 census. [5] It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. [3]

It is in the southeastern part of the county, 5 miles (8 km) north of Estelline and 12 miles (19 km) southeast of Castlewood.
