Polypsocus is a genus of hairy-winged barklice in the family Amphipsocidae. There are more than 20 described species in Polypsocus. [1] [2] [3] [4]
These 22 species belong to the genus Polypsocus:
Psocomorpha is a suborder of barklice, booklice, and parasitic lice in the order Psocoptera. There are more than 20 families and 5,300 described species in Psocomorpha.
Psocidae is a family of barklice in the order Psocoptera.
Caeciliusidae is a family of Psocoptera belonging to the suborder Psocomorpha. The family was once named Caeciliidae, but the latter name was changed because of homonymy with the amphibian family Caeciliidae. The subfamily Paracaeciliinae was formerly in Caeciliusidae, but it has been elevated to family rank, Paracaeciliidae.
Lepidopsocidae are an insect family of bark lice (Psocoptera) belonging to the suborder Trogiomorpha. Colloquially, Lepidopsocidae are referred to as the Scaly-winged Barklice. There are more than 220 species described worldwide. Phylogenetic analysis of relationships between families in Trogiomorpha, based on partial sequences of the nuclear 18S rDNA, mitochondrial 16S rDNA, and Histone 3 genes, propose that Lepidopsocidae is monophyletic, meaning that the taxa within share a common ancestor. This is supported morphologically by the presence of scales and setae covering the body and forewings of Lepodopsocids. Sister families of Lepidoposcidae include Trogiidae and Psoquillidae.
Psocinae is a subfamily of common barklice in the family Psocidae. There are about 11 genera and at least 40 described species in Psocinae.
Echmepteryx is a genus of scaly-winged barklice in the family Lepidopsocidae. There are more than 80 described species in Echmepteryx.
Rhyopsocus is a genus of bird nest barklice in the family Psoquillidae. There are more than 20 described species in Rhyopsocus.
Lichenomima is a genus of mouse-like barklice in the family Myopsocidae. There are more than 40 described species in Lichenomima.
Cerastipsocus is a genus of common barklice in the family Psocidae. There are more than 20 described species in Cerastipsocus.
Steleops is a genus of common barklice in the family Psocidae. There are more than 20 described species in Steleops.
Embidopsocus is a genus of booklice in the family Liposcelididae. There are more than 40 described species in Embidopsocus.
Metylophorus is a genus of common barklice in the family Psocidae. There are at least 50 described species in Metylophorus.
Amphigerontia is a genus of common barklice in the family Psocidae. There are more than 30 described species in Amphigerontia.
Philotarsus is a genus of loving barklice in the family Philotarsidae. There are about 18 described species in Philotarsus.
Elipsocus is a genus of damp barklice in the family Elipsocidae. There are more than 20 described species in Elipsocus.
Aaroniella is a genus of loving barklice in the family Philotarsidae. There are more than 40 described species in Aaroniella.
Kaestneriella is a genus of stout barklice in the family Peripsocidae. There are about 13 described species in Kaestneriella.
Psyllipsocus is a genus of cave barklice in the family Psyllipsocidae. There are more than 50 described species in Psyllipsocus.
Pseudocaecilius is a genus of false lizard barklice in the family Pseudocaeciliidae. There are more than 50 described species in Pseudocaecilius.
