Poplar Bluff Township covers an area of 138.92 square miles (359.8 km2) and contains one incorporated settlement, Poplar Bluff (the county seat). It contains seventeen cemeteries: Ashcraft, Black Creek, Carpenter Bend, Dooley, Friendship, Green Hill, Hvam, Marble Hill, Melton, Memorial Gardens, Morocco, Oak Hill, Podesva, Sacred Heart, Shadle, Sheppard and Woodlawn.
Carpenter Lake is within this township. The streams of Agee Creek, Black Creek, Black River, Buck Creek, Dobbs Creek, Harwell Creek, Hickory Creek, Hoedapp Creek, Indian Creek, Lewis Creek, Mill Creek, Pike Creek and Pike Slough run through this township.
Poplar Bluff Township contains three airports or landing strips: Earl Fields Memorial Airport, Hayes Field and Lucy Lee Hospital Heliport.
Butler County is a county located in the southeast Ozark Foothills Region in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 Census, the county's population was 42,130. The largest city and county seat is Poplar Bluff. The county was officially organized from Wayne County on February 27, 1849, and is named after former U.S. Representative William O. Butler (D-Kentucky), who was also an unsuccessful candidate for Vice President of the United States. The first meeting in the Butler County Courthouse was held on June 18, 1849.

Whitemarsh Township is a Home rule municipality in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It retains its former classification of "Township" in its official name despite being a home rule municipality. The population was 17,349 at the 2010 census. Whitemarsh is adjacent to the neighborhood of Andorra in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, and is bordered in Montgomery County by Springfield, Upper Dublin, Whitpain, and Plymouth townships, and by Conshohocken Borough. It is also bordered by the Schuylkill River, which separates it from Lower Merion Township. Communities within Whitemarsh Township include: Barren Hill; Lafayette Hill; part of Miquon, which straddles Whitemarsh and Springfield townships, Spring Mill; part of Plymouth Meeting ; and part of Fort Washington, some of which is in Whitemarsh, but which is chiefly in Upper Dublin Township.
